Blackcurrant Concentrate Bottle, 1 L, 3 Pack

We rented a house in the West Country of England. On our first trip to the grocery store, we saw this product in the beverage dept. and, it being different than products in the US, decided to give it a try. When I poured my first glass full and had a taste I thought "Hmm, this stuff is pretty thick and quite strong tasting" . I had another look at the bottle it came in and realized it was a Black currant concentrate (blame it on jet lag). After mixing it to the proper concentration, it was absolutely delicious!! After arriving back home I looked around the local stores, but no one carried this product. Found it on Amazon and ordered a three pack right away. The estimated arrival for this package was June 21-26 (about 2 1/2 weeks after ordering), but it arrived June 13. I was surprised as this had to ship directly form England. Anyway, This is a refreshing and delicious thirst quencher that you can mix according to your own taste. It has a good blend of sweetness and tart that I truly enjoy. Try some. it's really good. Now, if I can only find who sells Fentiman's Ginger Beer here in the states, I will be set, beverage wise.

All I can say is YUM... I can never get enough Ribenna and this is a deal. The only problem is it's never enough - the more we buy the more we drink. I got my kids hooked from when they were babies instead of drinking sodas, since being from England I too grew up on Ribena - so I find myself hiding this syrupy delicious blaccurrent cordial as is it is know in the states not as 'squash ' as the Brits say, from my kids. I just wish there were more things over here made from blaccurrent juice as it is so good for you- but alas the bushes are illegal as it attract bugs that kill crops - go figure... Any way keep sending the Ribena this way please & I'll be your number one customer...

Back in the 12th Century I spent my youth frequenting pubs in South London. My tipple of choice was rum & black! (dark rum with a shot of Ribena concentrate) The above product is listed as Ribena Concentrate. It is not Ribena concentrate. What it is a sugary drink flavoured with Ribena concentrate. List of Ingredients:(after dilution) Water, sugar, Blackcurrent juice from concentrate (5%), Citric Acid, Vitamin C, Preservatives (Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Bisulphate, Colour (Anthocyanins) Product before dilution contains 23% juice I have requested a refund from Amazon and am returning this product. Ribena DOES manufacture concentrated Blackcurrent juice which is unique and very good...This ain't it!! The American market is flooded with home grown sugary drinks we don't need to import them!

I was disappointed at how sweet it is. It's a good deal because of how concentrated it is. I mix it about 30% juice to 70% soda water and it is still very flavorful - just too sweet.

This concentrate is diluted with water to suit your personal taste, about 4 or 5 to 1, and I love the taste. The diluted drink can be drunk hot or cold. It is very satisfying hot in winter as a midmorning drink and enjoyably refreshing as a cold drink in summer. It is also a very healthy drink because it is rich in vitamin C. I prefer it to orange juice and often use it instead of coffee and tea.

I wish they sold this juice in US supermarkets. I had this during my UK trips and this stuff is fantastic. Blackcurrants are good for you as well. Concentrate is great. Just mix with water in a pitcher and you have a healthy alternative to soft drinks. No artificial color, flavors, or sweeetners. I'm ordering again & again.

This is an absolutely delicious blackcurrant drink that you can have hot or cold. You dilute it with water, about 1 part Ribena to 4 of water. It is also delicious on top of ice cream (undiluted). I order three bottles at a time and the price is very reasonable. It tastes a little like blackberry and blueberry juice.
