Warm, Cute, and Comfy!
I live in MN and needed a good boot for trooping around outdoors. I did a lot of searching on Amazon and comparing reviews, prices and styles. I eventually decided to go with these (in white and on sale) and I couldn't be happier! They will definitely keep your feet warm! I have tried them out several times so far and have no complaints. They are warm, easy to clean (most dirt wipes right off), comfortable, and cute. Some reviewers have complained about the sizing, but I purchased these in the same size I buy my running shoes and they fit perfectly. They are snug, but it's very comfortable. My feet aren't getting squashed, but they feel secure and that helps keep them warm - and it does loosen just a bit over time. I also want to point out that they are pretty lightweight for a quality boot. I can drive with them on without a problem. You will not be disappointed with these!

Favorite Moon Boots
I love these boots. The Baffin Women's Snogoose Insulated Boots are warm and cozy. Keep my fit dry in the snow. The black rubber reinforces the boot and helps keep it from looking dirty, since walking in the streets of NYC during winter can be a sloshy mess. The inner layer is removable so you can keep it clean and I can throw the boots into the tub for a good soak before storing them. I love boots with laces because they can stay snug and keep my feet from floating when I walk. The back lace keep the boot firm on your calf to keep snow and rain out. I normally wear a size 7.5, but these aren't too tight, they are snug, but not uncomfortable in anyway, even with a thick sock.

Great lightweight and warm winter boots
I normally wear a size 9 shoe and ordered these in a size 10, which fit great. They were even a bit tight at first before I "broke them in". I therefore rated the fit as "somewhat small" as I am fairly confident that my regular size (9) would have been too small. So far I have worn these boots ice fishing, snowmobiling, and hiking, and they have held up admirably. My feet only got slightly cold while ice fishing, when I was basically sitting still for 3+ hours. My feet never overheated while snow hiking or while wearing the boots indoors for an hour or two. My only negative comment would be that the main drawstring to tighten the boot around your foot/ankle is somewhat difficult to adjust tightly, and when tightened I needed to tuck the extra cording at the end in the side of the boot in order to avoid stepping or tripping on it. However, I have been comfortable without tightening the boots very much - I leave the drawstring at a point which allows me to slip in and out of the boots easily without readjustment. These are by far the lightest and least "clunky" winter boots I have owned, much easier to walk in than my old Sorels. I would say that they have a similarly sized "footprint" as my regular summer hiking boots. These boots are also extremely comfortable - the liners are very soft and eliminate any possibility of a blister forming from rubbing against a hard edge. The liners are easily removable for drying, although they can be tricky to re-insert in the original position. I found it easiest to put the liner on my foot and then boot the boot on and wiggle my foot around until it felt right.

Second hand merchandise
I had to return this item for several reasons. I wear a size US 8 shoe. I ordered this boot in a size 10 so I could wear warm thick socks with it. The boot was way too small, even in bare feet. The boot seems to be well made so no problem there. The boot I received was an obviously a returned item that was then resold to me. Although the tags were intact on the book, the box it was in was not intact and had been opened, and the normal paper one finds squished inside the boot to keep its shape was missing in one boot, and wrapped in a plastic bag in the other. Please don't waste your money on a second-hand merchandise.

Run very small - esp in toe box
I did so much research looking for super warm winter boots and was excited to find these. I listened to the other reviews that mention to size up. I am an 8.5 and ordered a 10. They looked big when I took them out of the box but since the insert is so thick, I couldn’t believe my toes were still hitting the front. I don’t have wide feet but these boots are very narrow in the front and squeeze your foot side to side. If you have narrow feet you will probably love them if you go up 1 size, everyone else go up 2 sizes. I wore them around the house for a little trying to see if they would loosen but my toes were uncomfortable. I’m returning them for a size 11 but skeptical because the heel still lifted in the back on the 10. I’m hoping the 11 is wider in the toe and a bit longer but not bigger in the back. I do have to say the insulation is amazing - so soft and thick. I would imagine these would be very warm outside.

My feet are a true size 5, though I usually buy size 5.5 or 6 winter boots to have extra room for thick socks. I read reviews recommending to size up and they are not kidding. I ordered sizes 6 and 7 to try on, and while I can get both on, size 6 is tight on my toes. Size 7 is comfortable with thin socks, but still pretty snug. I expect the lining to pack down a bit so I think I'll stick with size 7. I'd recommend going one size up from your winter boot size, and 2 sizes up from your true shoe size. As for the boot itself, it feels well constructed but lightweight, which is a nice change from my Sorel Pac boots which are heavy and not even all that warm. I haven't worn them outside yet, but they feel very warm and the sole is nice and thick to insulate against the cold. The boots are cute in a utilitarian, moon boot kind of way. Update: The snowpocalypse has hit my city, and I've been wearing these boots to get around as driving is no longer an option without snow tires! They're great so far, good traction on all but the iciest patches, very warm and easy to walk in. I've had no blisters or hot spots either.

These are great boots very warm fits well on the foot but the sizing is really really off. I ordered a size 7 which is a size up from the six I normally wear and the toe area was really tight. No way was I going to be comfortable with thick socks. I really liked the boots so I hesitantly sized up to 8 after reading many reviews. I've never purchased a size 8 and thought no way. Very glad I did. They're perfect two sizes up from what I usually wear. I can wear thick socks and feel comfortable. I can also slip in them barefoot and still feel comfortable for quick jaunts.

Comfy boot, warm, def fits small. I’m a size 9, ordered a 10, after wearing a bit they formed to my feet but toes still touch end, not painfully so but noticeable. I wear them with just 1 layer medium thickness sock. Disappointed in attachments for tightening laces, one broke almost immediately.

I had a pair of these about 10 years ago, but the lining wore out. I wear shoe size 6, so I ordered a size 7 which is what my old ones were, these seem slightly tighter than I remember, especially around the calf and ankle. So I exchanged them for a size 8 which has more room for extra thick winter socks in the foot area, but not in the calf and ankle area. I think the size 8 is far too big, but the 7 didn't seem big enough. I feel like the lining is too thick in the calf area or that part of the boot is narrower than in the past. I’m sure the old version was a couple inches taller and had a straight back and these don’t. They should be made a wider to accommodate pant legs that you want tucked in. When you’re out in the snow, you want your pant legs in, not out! I hope they work good this winter, I need good boots while I'm outside. Update: These boot are horrible compared to my old ones, feet were froze in 30 minutes after being outside at -20. Pathetic how manufacturers change the design and quality of the product, but still sell it under the same name. These are not the same as my past snogoose boots. These are form fitted, so basically only fit with no sock or pant legs. The only way for these to work is for me to cut open the back of this $200 boot and add in the extra waterproof material. Absolutely pathetic that a brand new item needs alterations to fit properly.

I'm absolutely thrilled with my Baffin Women's Snogoose Boots! I bought these for my mom as I fell in love with my Baffin Icefield boots and knew my mom needed an upgrade. Living in Canada with sometimes brutal winter conditions, finding boots that can handle the cold and snow is a top priority, and these boots deliver on all fronts. The insulation is incredible. Feet stay warm even in the coldest temperatures, and the boots are exceptionally cozy. The waterproofing is top-notch – my mom and I have trudged through deep snow, and feet have always remained dry. The grip on icy surfaces is impressive, providing stability in slippery conditions, which I appreciate for my mom. The adjustable straps make it easy to get a snug fit, and the boots feel secure without being overly bulky. Not to mention, they are SO cute!! Runs small, so size up (which you should do anyway with winter boots). Recommend!!!
