(UPDATE ADDED AT THE END) I made the decision to delay the start of this project until the temperature was over 10 degrees, night and day. I was fixing pee-burned patches so I removed all the foul dead grass and soil surface before filling with fresh seedling compost. I really firmed this to the existing lawn level as I didn't want dips. I then sowed the seed as per the instructions (I weighed it out) and then sprinkled a very thin layer of compost over the seed to hide it from the voracious pigeons. I gently patted this down and watered it in with a fine rose on my watering can. I covered it with prickle strips to fully repel the pigeons and my nosy, diggy Bossi-poo dog. I watered it every day. Just when I was giving up hope at day 7, I looked at, there was a marvellous and welcome green fuzz! Now, at day 11, we have 2 inches of lush grass, whoop!! I have removed the prickle mats and gently trodden the compost down to firm it as the growth had loosened the earth. I'm now leaving it to recover and stand up again for 3 days before the first high cut. I'm chuffed to little pieces so far. I will report back once everything has established on whether I think it is more pee-scorch resistant. I'm planning on overseeding the rest of the lawn in the autumn to thicken it up as I don't want to be watering like mad over the hotter, dryer summer months. UPDATE Aug 2025 - The results were ok for the first little while but it never really settled into robust, dense growth. I honestly don't think that it was any more resistant to pee than any other we have tried. This summer has been particularly hard on all of the grass but the patched areas have probably fared worse than the long established grass. We have sprinklers and did use them to fight against the peeing but for now, my struggle continues.

I have went through lots of different brands of seed but this is by far the best. Takes a good 2/3 weeks to germinate but grass comes in thick and can sustains my kids and dogs running around on it. Great value for money

Grows quickly, looks nice, certainly not resistant to my dogs pee!

I have used several bags of this grass seed and it works very well, note that you mustn't let your dogs pee on the newly sown seed for at least 4 to 6 weeks, only after this time I found that the grass does NOT die off! It needs time to develop good roots and don't cut the area for at least 4 to 6 weeks, then only trim a little off at a time until desired length. I think a lot of people are expecting miracles with this, but as all gardeners know it's all about the prep and after care I did find over seeding too much can also cause die back due to the seed fighting for space. Apply sparingly to start and you. An always fill in over the spring summer ! 👍 Just bought another 2kg bag, wanting my lawn very thick and lush!

A little patchy in parts but coverage was fine and germinated within the timescale sepcified. Useful for spot / patching and I'm happy with the quality and grass type.

Great product but delivery time awful

Followed the instructions but no joy. Small amount grew but majority did not. Tried again with areas that failed with fresh soil. No joy again. Sadly I rate the results poorly.
