It was a hundred bucks
It works. Barely. Slow as cow feces. Save your money, go on eBay and for the same money get an i7 3-ghz machine, ideally already with an SSD. If you buy this one, expect to devote an entire evening to turning off all the stuff Apple wants you to turn on, and probably updating to 10.7.8, which is the most recent OS you can really put on this. But it was a hundred bucks. Update; i should note that they actually sent me one with 8Gb. However, with that 500gb 5400rpm spinning hard drive, it is still a D-A-W-L-G. Only way I could tolerate it was by having a 500gb USB SSD external drive. Look around and get one with factory 16Gb, 3ghz cpu, and factory SSD. Not a SATA spinner, not a hybrid. They're affordable and (ahem) one is showing up Friday from another famous vending site. $110. The slow-as-feces one got ElementaryOS installed on it and is now tolerable.

Great product and experience
I’ve been using the Apple Mac Mini MGEM2LL/A (Renewed) for a few weeks now, and I have to say, it’s been a pleasant surprise. Initially, I was a bit skeptical about buying a renewed product, but it turned out to be a great decision. The compact size fits perfectly on my crowded desk, and it’s so quiet that sometimes I forget it’s even running. For basic tasks like browsing, streaming, and light document work, it handles everything smoothly without a hitch. What I love most is how seamlessly it integrates with the rest of my Apple devices. AirDrop and iCloud work flawlessly, and it feels like an effortless addition to my setup. Sure, the 4GB of RAM and 500GB HDD aren’t cutting-edge, but for what I need—a reliable, low-cost machine for everyday use—it’s perfect. Plus, the renewed model saved me a good chunk of money while still feeling solid and dependable. Overall, it’s been a great little workhorse for me!

For the money, its worth the purchase
From start to finish... Shipping was fast, a little annoyed when I received the shipping update that I need to sign for it. I rearranged my schedule at the last minute to fulfill my obligation to sign for the package. Luckily I'm able to make such schedule changes. Opening the package, the Mini Pc looks like new, no scratches, dents or other cosmetic issues. The power supply cord was the shortest cord I have ever seen. I found a cord that fit and worked (never throw away old power supply cords from any electronics, you never know what would be able to work on what in the future). Mini PC powered up perfectly. IOS installed was Sierra. I couldn't download my VPN as the system was too outdated. The system allowed for software update to Catalina. As I write this review, Monterey is being downloaded. It takes time to download software updates. Running multiple programs does cause the machines to run a little slow. For limited use such as office work, streaming, using as a media center it works well. I don't game so not sure how the machine would function but I bet it will slow for gaming. For the price, it's worth the purchase. It is a 2014 machine but for a iMac that's not old at all. The stock 4 GB memory could be upgraded but for what I need this machine for I don't need the upgrades or anything faster, or better or more expensive. I have a 2011 8 gb 2400 MHz DDR4 at my office and a 2017 3.4 GHz Quad-COre Intel i5 8 gb 2400 MHz DDR4 in my home office. The mini doesn't compare to either but this mini was a fraction of the price for my other 2 machines. It is still a better deal than any new mini PC and works better and faster than my ACER mini pc that I use for my LED outdoor sign. As far as mini PCs go, they aren't the best machines but they work great for everyday stuff. Price is good, app compatibility is good, speed is ok, not a work horse but it wasn't meant to be.

If with nvme, Best option for under $150 Mac
I bought 1.4Ghz 4GB 500GB hdd version. Big sure is better than Catalina, but it’s not fast for heavy work like simulator and so on. You can still do web browsing and listen music at the same time with a little patient. But. IF YOU CAN INSTALL NVME SSd IN THIS, nvme Ssd changes everything. Boot takes 30-40secs iOS simulator takes 15-30secs Multitasking works well and transitions between apps are fast. 4GB could be not enough for multitasking but fast nvme Ssd swap memory could cover memory shortage very well. I installed western digital sn750 500GB with ssd adapter made by sintech in Mac mini 2014, and Blackmagic speed test shows 680MB/s for write and 740MB/s for read. 4 or 5 safari tabs, Flutter, vscode and simulator at the same time works well. I think if you are first at Mac and don’t want to spend much money, I recommend this. Mac mini is a computer not a notebook, so it’s not easy to be out of order, if it is then it’s easy to fix than notebook usually. New Mac OS Monterey can be installed on Mac mini 2014 and it could get update until 2024 I think. Ps. T6h precision driver is needed for installing nvme inside Mac mini 2014. Western digital nvme Sn750 is cheap($55) and has good average speed until full(1000MB/s).

Irritating
I bought this because I wanted to get some sort of Mac so I could edit stuff and just explore it and when I got it o couldn’t download any apps because they had new updates and it couldn’t support it so I had to do research what to do and I had to go into recovery mode and wipe the drive from Macintosh and install Mac OS so that I could do anything but good thing I caught that before I put anything on it otherwise it would have deleted it but after I installed Mac OS it worked fine and went to the lates up date and worked with all the apps.

This product was no good. Please do not buy from them. It is faulty. It is a rip-off.
Kept turning itself off. Was incredibly slow. Had some of the old installations from the past owner that I could not get off the computer. Was very difficult to get it to recognize a wireless network, and never did work right from the beginning. I should have sent it back within the three months. But I kept trying to make it work. Do not buy from this reseller. Their products are faulty and not refurbished correctly. I am out well over $100 dollars and months of aggravation.

Impossibly slow, to the point of not being able to work . After a couple of minutes of use it froze, when I restarted it, it stoped working. In my experience it was an useless product. It was unable to perform any task at all.
