I have been using global knives for several years now and just love how well made and designed they are. Over time I noticed that the cutting edge has been getting dull. I attempted to use the tradition whetstone method, but that required extra time. This little sharpening tool by global has been perfect in sharpening my knife edges back to pristine condition. It is simple to use - two passes through the course white and two passes through the polishing red disc wheel. Add more as needed. My knives are back to almost original condition and have been a pleasure to use once again!

Excellent product, Works like a charm!!

We bought a Global chef knife 6 or 7 years ago, based on Anthony Bordain's recommendedation. It was super sharp, the sharpest knife I have ever used. It was beginning to feel less sharp so I bought this Global sharpener, concerned that I use the correct sharpening method for this excellent and expensive tool. It seems to do the job, back to the original sharpness. I'm a nut about having sharp knives, very happy with this gadget.

For years I have tried to keep my knives sharp using a stone with limited success. So after seeing an article in a newspaper I discovered the Global Water Sharpener. It came number one out of ten reviewed. Not cheap but what a tool. Sharpened my knives to razor sharpness so I opened the drawer and got out some old blunt knives. After following the procedure a few times they are now sharp again. Simple to use just drawing the knife back and forth, and as the sharpening stones are angled you are always sharpening correctly. Dont hesitate to buy this if you want quality.
