Effective
Fast shipping. I hesitated for a moment, about buying a six band EQ because I didn't know if the bands would be specific enough to deal with a feedback problem that I have had. I was surprised that, for a six-band, this one seems to focus on the problem frequencies and easily "kill" them. If feedback is not an issue, it will serve to boost the desired tones. It has turned out to be very useful, effective and, so far, well built.

Quality Product And Amazing Tones
Wow! I have never used an eq pedal before and now I see why they are so important. I have been playing on my Blackstar HT Club 50 for about ten years and never really realized how blaw it sounded till I hooked this pedal up. It totally opened up my tone and allows me to dial in exactly what I want. Very touchy as far as dialing in your tone. Easy to use and I highly recommend everyone using one of these.

Great pedal to tweek tonr
My Boss GE-7 bit the dust after many years of use and I decided to see what other EQ pedals were out there. I saw this one and a lot of the reviews were great so decided to give it a try. It definitely is noiseless which my old pedal was not. It does not have a volume selector but I never used it anyway so not a big deal. It's big brother does have a volume selector but I didn't want to spend another $30 for something I don't use. I slightly increased the 100 and 200 bass sliders, left the 400 and 800 kids at zero and slightly increased the 1.6 and 3.2 treble. It really improves the sound of my Fender 65 DRRI. The pedal does increase the volume, but I just turn down the volume knob on my amp to compensate. I have an ES335, American Pro Strat, Tele and a Taylor acoustic and they all sound great using this pedal. I keep it on all the time when playing and wouldn't be without.

MXR delivers
Yes this is a good EQ that is really sensitive to touch. I love the blue lights, especially if you are in a dark (stage) setting. I am really getting some good tone and gain from it. My only reserve is that is is still a bit noisy. Not as much as previous versions but somedays I'll tolerate it more than others. This pedal is great before or after your OD. I hope to try it out on my main rig after Covid, especially in the effects loop. Great for the price and better sounding than the 'other' common brand with a volume, gain, and buffer.

Great low noise EQ for a good price
This is a great EQ pedal. Buy it. Okay, maybe a little more detail. It's very quiet, I've actually returned other EQ pedals because they make so much noise. This will make noise if you push controls all the way up, but way less than other pedals. One thing to note: There is no master volume, it seems that each band is at neutral when in the center. At first I wanted a master volume, but now that I'm used to the pedal I don't even understand why others have it.

Versatile utility knife of a pedal
MXR have always made fantastic pedals that are user friendly and musical. The MXR 6 band eq has a really solid enclosure with 6 sliders that react well with a push but stay in their positions with no signs of loose shafts. It is relatively small taking up a little less space than a standard boss enclosure. Footswitch is the same brand that I use when I replace them so rugged in my book. They also made it true bypass which preserves the tone from my already buffered chain. I use it in my efx loop and it replaced a Joyo that I had on my board for two years. This pedal is quite the utility knife for tone in a rig. I play in a progressive metal band and a cover band that does multiple genres of music. This EQ always me to transform my Orange and Peavey amps into Marshalls, Mesas, and everything in between with. The frequency response and reaction of each slider can push your amp as a booster, brighten up a dark amp, or even use as a separate eq control from your amp, giving you boundless versatility. I use mine as the latter of the three in my amps FX loop and it allows me to quickly go to country to metal with just the push of a couple of sliders. Very useful pedal and is worth every cent of investment. Mine will stay on my board until the robots take over.

Works great !! MXR is on the top of my list, always
Was debating on this or the larger one. this works fine. I have heard zero noise in the guitar chain in front of amp. I dont know if power adapter was supposed to be included, it was not. I already have ISO-brick power on my board, no biggie. I find the EQ leveling very precise, don't have to tweek it too much to round out the sound. good price & great sound so far.
