Great Product
**Product Review: Silas Sound Deadening Material for Car Floors** Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) I recently upgraded my car with Silas Sound Deadening Material on the floor, and the results have been nothing short of fantastic. Here's a detailed review of my experience: **Noise Reduction**: The effectiveness of Silas Sound Deadening Material in reducing noise is impressive. It significantly dampens road noise, engine rumble, and vibrations, making the car’s interior remarkably quieter. This has transformed my daily commute, allowing me to enjoy music and conversations without the intrusive background noise. **Installation**: Installation was straightforward, thanks to the product's design. The material cuts easily, which allowed me to tailor it precisely to the floor contours of my car. The self-adhesive backing is strong and adheres well to the car floor, ensuring a secure fit without any additional adhesives. **Material Quality**: The quality of Silas Sound Deadening Material is top-notch. It is thick and dense, which is key for absorbing sound and vibrations. Despite its thickness, it's surprisingly lightweight, so it doesn't add much weight to the vehicle. The material is also resistant to moisture and temperature fluctuations, making it durable for long-term use in various climates. **Impact on Driving Experience**: The installation of this material on the car floor has significantly enhanced the driving experience. The ride feels smoother and more refined, as the material also helps in damping the vibrations that travel through the car's structure. **Value for Money**: Given its high quality and the substantial improvement it brings to the comfort of driving, Silas Sound Deadening Material offers excellent value for money. It performs on par with, if not better than, more expensive brands in the market. **Overall Verdict**: Silas Sound Deadening Material is an outstanding product for anyone looking to improve the soundproofing of their vehicle. Its installation on the car floor has made a noticeable difference, creating a quieter and more enjoyable driving environment. I highly recommend it to all car owners—it’s a worthwhile investment for enhancing your vehicle's interior ambiance.

This works!
I used it to line the interior plastic rear panels and some under seat plastics in my Polaris Xpedition. Was it a lot of work? YES. Was it worth it? YES. This is good stuff, believe me. It is thick, has superior adhesion to others I've tried on other units in the past, and definitely quieted the drone of that engine packed in right behind my 2 seats. As for price, well, I guess I figured it was worth it because I bought enough to really do the job. I even put some on the exterior of the back panel behind the seats and have seen ZERO failure even though it's exposed to the heat of the engine and the mud and water of our rides. It probably doubles as a heat insulator to keep the AC from having to work too hard, which is just an added benefit for us. Noise was our main concern, and this tackled it. If you are thinking of doing this, don't think twice about this stuff - just get it!

Details in the video, BUY IT!
Installed this over the Siless Max 120 mil and Siless 80 mil. Couldn’t be happier with how easy it was to cut and install. Sound deadening is noticeable immediately with just a simple tap on the installed area vs area that’s not installed. Haven’t put the interior back together yet but couldn’t be happier to this point. Great quality, no smell (it is cold outside), and good value for the money. If and when I do a sound deadening install again, this is a must buy!

NO MIRACLES: SHEETS OF COMPROMISE
A wee bit overhyped, you get half the foam of a foam sheet and a third of the butyl of dedicated dampener sheets. I thought I’d try it because I have some spaces where I could use a thinner combo material and reduce some fitment hassles. Don’t expect this to be as good as dedicated sheets of butyl or dedicated sheets of foam; the mass of material’s just not there and you're juggling benefits here. The butyl layer is really an anti-drum sheet metal resonance damper (whew). It does a little bit of hand-over-the-noisy-hole blocking, and the foam helps with that, but it really is a sheet vibration dampener at heart. It’s also an adhesive-from-hell, so DO NOT attach it to any surface that you won’t regret covering over forever. To remove the black horror show residue you would need solvents, a gazillion rags, and a new coat of paint. That stuff is nasty to remove, but that’s what you count on when buying this, no? Also remember that really old/cheap butyl exposed to significant heat can start to weep thick black sticky drips; the heavy butyl thickness of other sheets exacerbates this but this thinner layer should be OK. The outer layer is a pretty dense foam that is not immune to scuffing, especially after it ages some. Age will also (count on it) shrink these sheets enough to open up “seams” if you don't overlap. It won’t affect the thermal/sound qualities significantly but it WILL get uglier and uglier looking, so please don’t leave this sort of thing exposed and cover up that ugly logo print with something tougher than air. Mounting these sheets is very forgiving; they bend and stretch a little. Don’t try to cut fitment pieces with the paper off unless it’s cold outside, and don’t use the expensive scissors. Whatever you do, buy a brayer/roller. Use it. Just use it. And get a gallon of Varsol/Stoddard/mineral spirits and wipe every single square inch down to straight clean paint. It’s a legit longevity thing. Remember that after you put this down once you never want to see it EVER again so good stick-to-it-ness is paramount.

Product Review: SilasPro 5mm Sound Deadening Material for vehicles. I recently upgraded my truck with SilasPro 5mm Sound Deadening Material on the floor, roof, rear firewall, and doors. It took 2 1/2 cases to do a complete comprehensive install. Noise Reduction: The effectiveness in reducing noise is impressive. It dampens road noise, engine, exhaust rumble, and vibrations, making my trucks interior much quieter. I can now enjoy music and conversations without the execive outside noise. Installation: Installation was straightforward. Material cuts easily, and very flexible which allows following the floor contours relatively easily. The self-adhesive backing is very strong and adheres well to anything it comes in contact with. (careful what it touches) Make sure you follow the contours of your vehicle carefully and ensure contact is made everywhere. Don't leave gaps where it doesn't touch. Material Quality: The quality of SilasPro 5mm Sound Deadening Material is excellent. It is thick and dense, which is key for absorbing sound, resonations, and vibrations. Despite its thickness (5mm), it's surprisingly lightweight, so it doesn't add much weight to the vehicle. Value: Excellent value for money. It performs on par with, if not better than, many more expensive brands in the market. Final Thoughts: Excellent product for anyone looking to improve the sound deadening of their vehicle. Its installation has made a noticeable difference, creating a quieter and more enjoyable ride.

I’ve used three different companies so far and have not been impressed until I bought from Silus. Very thick and sticks very well. It also has a great degree of flex which is great if you need to stretch it a bit for fitting. I’ve noticed a huge difference and don’t need to turn the radio up near as loud to drown out driving noise coming into the cabin.

First time using a sound deadening product like this it was hard to tell how much it helped. But it was easy to apply and seemed to hold up in my jeep wrangler.
