I love this stuff and the novels by Mrs. Perry are amazing and I recommend them to any RE fan. I first read these books right after RE0 was released on the GameCube. I also recommended these be released on the Kindle about ten times over the past two years, so when they finally did I snatched them all up on their release dates! Resident Evil: Nemesis If you've played the games then I would recommend that you read these books in numerical order (making RE0 last). There are some discrepancies between the books because the RE universe has been tweaked and updated for clarification over the past fifteen or so years. Mrs. Perry does mention this at the beginning of her books and for the most part they still flow together nicely and don't take away from stories at all. She did an amazing job with this series and I think anyone who loves RE will love this book. The author covers all the major plot points and adds a little bit of a background story (and character (Trent)) to string the novels together. In this particular book since it's mainly viewed from Jill's perspective she was able to leave just about everything from the game in the book. I highly recommend this book and it is personally my 3rd favorite in the series. Review: I did like it... - But her romantic crap is very stupid. It never goes anywhere anyway. It didn't ruin the story, but it annoyed. Her attempt to use Spanish while in Carlos' POV did too, because she doesn't understand enough to use it correctly. A few phrases of Mexican slang doesn't really cut it for someone from a different Spanish-speaking country. It would have ruined nothing by leaving him speaking only English. Or she could have researched a little better. But the story was good. I did enjoy it. It wasn't quite as good as Umbrella Conspiracy or City of the Dead, but it was lightyears better than Caliban Cove or Underground, and it was a very good read by itself. There were even improvements in some areas over the other books, though her overuse of the abbreviation 'copter' still irritates. Just say chopper or use the full word! But I did enjoy this book, I have bought the next one, I will continue on to the end, and I do like this author. No one is perfect, and these are only my critiques; my displeasures could make the book for someone else.

Beautifully written retelling of a classic game
I've enjoyed every one of S.D. Perry's RE novels thus far, and Nemesis was no exception. Her creative expression and technical understanding of the environments in which the story takes place help bring the reader directly into the carnival of horrors that is post-infection Raccoon City. I especially enjoyed her take on the protagonists' inner dialog as the events played out.

A fun novelization of RE3
The Good: Great pacing and action, well implemented puzzles from the game, the atmosphere of Raccoon is written out very well, Nikolai is a sick and twisted character The Bad: You don't end up caring much for Carlos, a few events come off as a bit unrealistic, the sexual tension between Jill and Carlos is awkward The fifth book of the RE series from S.D. Perry is tense and exciting like you would expect. If you have been keeping up with the series you know that Trent is the mysterious character Perry has planted in the storyline. He's back and gets his hands into another character's mind; Carlos Oliveira. He is sent to Raccoon City with a bunch of other Umbrella goons to investigate the outbreak and "rescue" survivors. In the mean time, several agents are part of Operation Watchdog which is to gather all incriminating evidence and destroy it. However, one greedy Russian man named Nikolai wants all the info for himself to gain a profit. You follow Carlos, Jill Valentine, and Nikolai through Raccoon City and it is very intense and fun to read. Nikolai is a sick and twisted individual and you grow to really hate this guy but are also fascinated by him. He enjoys killing people and watching them die, Perry really let you get into the mind of this sicko. Carlos is probably my least favorite character because he just seems average, but Jill is brave and clever as always. She's actually running from the Nemesis monster Umbrella created while trying to escape Raccoon. She runs into a few people, but this book is filled with the same puzzles you run into in the game. It is interesting how this would work out in real life, but honestly wouldn't you just climb the fence or gate? Climb over the road blocks? Seems silly, but those annoying puzzles are nicely integrated here. What keeps you going is the desperation all the characters are in. They are in this zombie infested town that is completely abandoned and they just want to get out. Umbrella blocked all out going communications, they need ammo, and Nikolai is a sick and twisted human hunter. The book is nicely paced with a lot of action and intense fights with the giant monsters Umbrella created, it just makes you hate them even more. There is some sexual tension between Jill and Carlos and I'm not sure if I'm glad that Perry held off on that or she should have let them go at it. It happens quite a lot with internal dialog between the two, but knowing you will never hear of Carlos again after this novel just makes you not care. Overall, Nemesis is a great novelization of the third game in the series. Nikolai is probably my favorite character with his sick and twisted personality. The book is full of monsters, zombies, gore, blood, guns, shooting, explosions and conspiracies; everything an RE fan loves.

great book for any resident evil fan
Im a huge resident evil fan Ive played all the main games except zero just because its only on nintendo systems. When i found out that there were books based on the games I thought that was awesome but Im not a avid reader so i never got one. Recently Ive been wanting to read books more since I read a book from one of the members of korn my favorite band so I decided how about a resident evil book. My favorite game in the series is resident evil 3 and jill is my favorite character so I got this book. So far Im 9 chapters in and Im loving it. The best thing about this boom is that if you have played the game then while you are reading it you can picture 90% of the things going on. Perry captures every moment of the game and describes in such great detail. I love reading into the book and saying "hey I remember that part" it's a great feeling. Everypart of the game is how you remember but with even more detail. All resident evil fans should get this and horror fans should definietly give this a try.

Livre intense, assez fidèle au soft original tout en apportant sa propre touche de background, et qui se laisse dévorer aisément.

Book in good condition/quality. However is a print to order reprint (not a genuine copy) which is not specified in the item description. Still looks great as part of a set though.
