Great for hobbies or in my case, to seal around a small window ac unit. Not only helps seal out the weather but helps make the room darker.

Using the foam to line a case that houses a paintball marker. The foam is softer and less dense than expected, but protects the contents of the case well enough to protect the marker from damage during transit. Too much pressure from a hard edge dig snag the foam and rip a bit. I did not end up using the adhesive backing and cannot comment on its strength. Using a dull utility knife did result in jagged edges of course, and the thickness of the foam requires multiple layers. I may use the remainder of the foam to line a tool drawer, but will find a different foam for the travel case due to the wear and tear.

Used to create 2 layers in my cooler including a top cover. Kept my cooler colder for much longer than without. Definitely part of my camping routine from now on.

Perfect! I’m about 12 square inches too short to do my whole tool box, but this is what I needed! It would be nice if the roll was just a little bit longer.

Overall I'm pretty happy with this roll of foam. I didn't have any problems flattening the sheet out and getting it unrolled after receiving it. Cutting it with a crafting knife and even a box cutter was super easy to do. I think it really depends what you'll be using this foam for. I wanted to try it for cosplay but the foam isn't dense enough in my opinion to hold intricate designs. Scoring the outside is no issues but it just compresses too much. If you're using this as pure padding or something to customize holding tools in a case though you'll be fine. Again its usefulness", is really based on your usage.

The foam material itself is good and just as expected. No complaints there, and if quality was the only metric for rating I would give it 5 stars. HOWEVER... to anyone looking to purchase a roll of this foam, be aware that the listed measurement/dimensions of the roll are a suggestion and not absolute. I ordered 2 of the 1/2" thick X 17"W X 80"L rolls. The first roll was only 16.5" wide and only 74" long, and the second roll was only marginally better at 6.75" W and 75" long. Fortunately, being shortchanged on the dimensions didn't hamper my project and I still had enough to do what I wanted to do. But buyer beware... if you a needing exactly the dimensions listed for your project, just be warned that precision and exactness are not something this manufacturer shoots for when they cut the material for these rolls. Good dense material, a little difficult to cut but overcome with a hot knife. Perfect thickness and makes a really good outline in the toolbox.
