50 Golden Hymns / Various

I received my "50 Golden Hymns" CD Instrumental Collection with prompt delivery. I'm extremely pleased with the entire "50 Golden Hymns" 3 CD Instrumental Collection. It's a very spiritually relaxing collection, with a splendid variety of instruments and with different instruments taking the lead. Each of the 3 CDs are nicely arranged, however some of the music is louder on some songs than others. There were about 5 songs on each CD that I wasn't familiar with but they were still very pleasant. I'm especially partial to the 1st CD's last song "Just As I Am", because it was the song I accepted the Lord as my Savior publicly in our church. I would recommend this CD collection for spiritual easy listening.

It’s good music if you like traditional hymn type worship music I returned it because I really didn’t need it anymore, but it’s good music. I have no complaints.

I grew up with the Broadman Hymnal and prefer the old standards, played, sung, and shared as written. I love instrumentals to set my heart for private worship and my quiet time with God. This cd is very good for that purpose, as well as making drive time easier. The only down side is some of the songs are played at a higher octive than I like, and sometimes the 'horns' are played shrilly.

I bought to play for my grandma who was on hospice care. She loved the ild humns and passed in her love of them to me. Unfortunately she passed before i got the cds to her. But i kept them and listen to them often and they remind me of her and her strong alto voice.

This is one of the most beautiful collections of music I have ever listened to. The music is calming, inspiring and relaxing. The worries of the world fade away, like the last long note of a song. Your heart soars to fly with angels. Solo's played by flute, clarinet and oboe, relax you into the arms of the Lord. I'm facing radiation treatment for cancer and this music eases my worries and helps control the fear of what's to come. I feel closer to our Lord when listening to it. I hope you will enjoy it.

I love the quality of the music in this set. If you like the old hymns of the church, you will love this set. Some of the arrangements are not as good as others, but overall, the level of musicality is very high. There is not words, just the music of the songs. Yet, you will find yourself singing along with the music as you hear the old hymns beloved by Christians through the ages.

Bought this for my Mom for Christmas and she loves it! She likes the fact that there are so many different orchestras, which keeps the songs from all "sounding the same" and she also likes that different instruments are featured in the songs. It was really hard to make a choice for my 83 y/o mom but she told me I couldn't have picked anything better!

This is a 3 CD set, so there's more room for errors, but the product overall has a few technical issues such as skips, cut off words, etc. Sounds like something you'd knock off in your basement as opposed to a high quality professional production. Then again, the cost was inexpensive, so maybe it was produced in someone's basement. It's worth what we paid for it, but pass on the item if you're looking for top notch quality.

I wanted something without words but still inspirational to have playing in the background while I worked on other spiritual projects. This was perfect. Having a wide selection of presentations, particularly with full orchestras versus only piano, was a very, very nice change. I would recommend this to anyone interested in some nice non-vocal inspirational music.
