Whispers and the Roars

Interesting theme for a book, as always in K Webster's writing. Have never read something like this before.

Just WOW 👏 is all I can say this story is absolutely amazing and so well written it is definitely worth a read is all I'm going to say. It truly gets you thinking, it's heart touching. The story just takes you on a journey and you feel each character. I went in blind when I brought this book as you know any spoilers for this book spoil the read but I am so glad I did. This is the first book I have read from this author and it certainly won't be the last. 🙂

How to review this one, in the words of the author this book was entertaining, emotional, thought provoking and an impossible love story

Well, this book was probably one of the most confusing books I have read. I honestly had no clue what was going on until just over half way through and BAM it all made sense ! And my goodness, what a turn of events ! I was SHOOK. Like - slammed the book down, mouth gaping, screaming OMG a hundred times - kinda shook. My mind was blown. In the best possible way 👀 I’m not even going to give a description of this book because the blurb doesn’t give much away and I genuinely think you need to go in completely blind with this one. Which is exactly what I was told to do and I’m so glad for it! Kady and Yeos relationship is the purest, most beautiful thing I’ve read. He loves her through her worst and through her best, and what more could you ask for really?! He’s 100% a support system in his own right and dotes on this girl !! The unconditional theme of love through this book is bloody amazing 🖤 The other characters in this book were so well written. K Webster has an amazing way of making you feel like you know the character after reading only a few lines about them. I felt totally sucked into the scenes in this book and felt like I knew these characters personally. My heart broke, was pulled back together, broke again and then healed just as quickly while reading this. Your imagination will 100% be pushed to its limits! Knowing what I know now that I’ve finished it, I’m definitely going to go back and read this book again at some point 🤍 One note I will say is, I found it hard, at times, to pick it back up after having a break. Not because I wasn’t enjoying it, but because it’s a dark, hard hitting read. It took me a bit longer than normal to read because of this, but that’s not a bad thing!

Mediocre book, easy read, too much hype over no spoilers, tried too hard to draw interest using explicit sex which deterred, not added, to the actual story. I would hesitate to read other books by this author..
