Bates GX-8 Gore-Tex Side Zip

Was going to order these from an LE equipment site. Amazon had same price but included free shipping. These boots are super light and comfortable right out of the box. I need a waterproof (not Water resistant) boot that I can wear all day. I'm hoping these hold up, as some of the reviews have indicated early failure. I will report back on that later. But, so far so good. UPDATE : 01/20/22 - The boots themselves have held up well. The zipper is another matter. The zipper pull on both boots broke. I now have a paper clip inserted in the guide instead of a pull. Disappointing. Especially considering the price of these boots.

Llevo 3 semanas usándolas a diario por 12 horas, son muy cómodas, solo había la opción de extra Wide y pensé que tal vez me quedarían en exceso anchas porque mi pie no es tan ancho pero no fue así, me quedan bien con un poco de espacio para no sentir que el pie lo tengo aprisionado por la bota. Lo malo es al principio, lastima la parte de la pierna donde queda el cierre lateral, queda la molestia después de quitárselas, pero después de poco tiempo, no se si es por el uso o si es la costumbre me gustaron mucho son muy cómodas como ya mencioné y se ven muy bien, si las recomiendo

These boots look good and the side zip is nice for quick on/off access. That being said thats about as far as it goes, the tread does not hold up and there is little to no traction on wet surfaces. I've only had these boots for aprox four months and they're already breaking down in the flex area above the heel, along with the tread. I'm leaving this review as I'm looking for a better boot wishing I had known and not wasted my money on these.

These are some amazing boots. I would recommend these for anyone who would like to hike anywhere.
