CSB Single-Column Compact Bible, Navy LeatherTouch, Black Letter, Presentation Page, Full-Color Maps, Easy-to-Read Bible Serif Type Review: Excellent for the price! Exceeded my expectations! - This is not a thin line edition nor a skinny Bible so it's not pocket sized. It's still very portable and light though. I would call it a handy size Bible which is my way of saying It's the next size up from a pocket Bible. Hence, the small to medium size footprint (which is the same outline as a DVD case for example) seems very comfortable to hold because it's the perfect thickness at just under 2 inches. In fact, It's that thickness in a handy sized Bible that makes it feel like a delight to hold in your hands and read. I could see myself using it as a daily take everywhere Bible. This would also make a great reader's edition because it does not have references or other added helps cluttering the page layout. More importantly the medium size font is bold and crisp and looks elegant because of the spacious clean single column format. Sewn binding. Gold gilded page edges. 2 ribbons. Nice faux leather in Navy blue. Has text headings. It's black letter throughout aka no red letter text. Concordance and maps in the back with some additional lined pages for notes. This is a Bible that would normally retail for $40 and in my opinion it would be worth it at that price! Initially I decided not to order it because it was so inexpensive that I thought that I wrongly assumed the quality would be subpar. Boy was I wrong. I eventually gave it a try and I'm glad I did. If that's you, then don't delay in buying it because you won't be disappointed at this price point. It compares nicely to the ESV Single-column Heritage personal size Bible I used constantly over the last 10 years. If you're familiar with that nice edition by Crossway. In fact, I would give this one the advantage because the text in that specific ESV is not as bold and crisp like this CSB one is. I have to give credit to Holman for doing an excellent job all around with this super affordable Bible. This will be my go to Bible to hand out and give as gifts. It would be great for evangelism or a new disciple because the translation is very readable and less traditional than the ESV while at the same time being more reliable than a paraphrase like the NLT. Sort of the best of both worlds depending on your convictions regarding Bible translation methods. For those same reasons this would be ideal for people of any age. Also, if you're looking for something akin to the NIV reading level you will be very pleased with the CSB. Overall, this is an excellent value for the price and I have no complaints! If you buy this Bible I'm confident you will not regret it! I was not asked to give this review or compensated in any way. I am just a happy customer and wanted to share my experience with other potential customers. Review: ADHD Bible - Readers Relief!! - One of the most impressive all-around single column bibles I've owned. With it's white, opaque paper (arguably more opaque than my 28gsm Schuyler Quentel - which cost $220!!) of which I paid only $12 with shipping included!! - it's easy on the eyes. The paper doesn't have a distracting glare. The print is medium bold and line-matched. The Bible feels "personal" (in a positive sense) in hand, being compact and very balanced when holding and reading. It has a decent sewn binding without gutter crinkle issues, plus added perimeter stitching. It's easily one of the best "handling" and "feeling" faux covers - I've held. After use, place faced up on the table and the top cover always lays completely flat - which is impressive for it being compact and faux. It's been decades since I seriously considered using a compact bible as my daily reader with my aging eyes (I use 2.75 readers), but this Bible offers improved readability with a single column, delightful reading experience without visual clutter. And...I'd pay up to $40 for this "experience", even though it's a faux cover, because they did a great job - even without the price being a factor. CURIOUS...the brown copy I purchased had print no where as good as the blue copies, and was half the boldness level of the blue copies, so the brown is going back. Anyone care to share if you've had the same or different experience concerning print boldness level between blue vs brown of this exact edition? Finally, I have (treated daily) ADHD, and for years I've struggled to read. Simply put, I can read and re-read the same paragraph multiple times during devotions before comprehension sinks in, no matter if it's KJV/NASB or NLT/CSB. Medicine helps even as readers do; available tools I'm not ashamed to utilize especially when it comes to God's Word. But the CSB translation is also a solid, accurate translation on it's own accord. I've been reading it since the beta days of the hcsb, where I purchased cheap copies from Ollie's. For a daily reader Bible, this comes in a easy-to-read single column format (+ a little extra margin provided) + includes very good, opaque line-matched paper + little-to-no ghosting + no exhaustive references = focus, retention, and reading relief where I can actually comprehend and retain upon first read, 90% of the time. Of course, it would be wrong to not assert that the MOST important aspect of reading the Bible, is inviting the work of the Holy Spirit to teach and instruct while illuminating the inspired Word of God! This Bible really allows for an immersive reading experience and has become my daily reader even though I own several premium Bibles with fancier quality elements. Highly recommend!

Perfect for me!
I wasn’t sure if I would appreciate this size or the translation. But it’s actually a perfect carry and go size and the translation is very easy to understand or share with perhaps new believers. The print is small but readable, it’s not a deal breaker. It may not be the best for those whom are vision impaired or require a large font. I love the gold lined pages. The paper is a bit thin, however, I use MildLiners and they do not bleed through. I use a 0.5 mm pen and it does well. I would suggest test your pens or highlighters on something else prior to using within the Bible if you are a person who likes to mark within the text. Very affordable, they did not negate on quality at all!!

Amazing value!
I tend to be pretty picky about my Bibles, and I was hesitant to get one that was priced so low - expecting it to be one of those “value gift” Bibles that’s made very cheaply. However, I decided to give it a try as I really wanted a compact navy Bible. This little Bible exceeded my expectations! It’s a perfect combination of two my favorite compact Bibles - the Cambridge Pitt Minion (same height and width dimensions), and the ESV Personal Reference Bible (same thickness). What a perfect hybrid of these two dimensions! The quality of the LeatherTouch cover is also above expectations as it has the same softness and feel of some of my premium goat skin leather Bibles. Obviously, it’s not real leather, but it feels like it. Combined with perimeter stitching, line matching, Smyth sewing, and TWO ribbons! I honestly could not be happier with this purchase. I look forward to marking this little compact all up.

This is a great and quality CSB Bible! The leather feel and colour are amazing! The compact size is great! I like how it has two page markers, unlike most bibles which only have one. The pages are nice, and the single column text is a nice addition and the print size is decent, not super big, but more than readable. Pages are a bit thin, but not as thin as i’ve seen on other bibles.

I have a more in depth review available of this Bible in the Brown Leathertouch. This is the exact same Bible as that one, just in Navy. This is a great compact Bible that doesn’t sacrifice on features to be compact. The single column format honestly makes the 8.25pt font size seem larger and easier to read than comparably sized fonts in a traditional two column layout. I appreciate there being two ribbons and the synthetic leather material has a nice softness and flexibility to it that feels nice and helps it lay flat very well even from brand new. You can’t go wrong with this little Bible and the CSB offers a great middle of the spectrum translation approach that makes it a very approachable Bible for all types of readers.
