Forget Hive, Hue lights are the best by far.
Tried Hive lights and persevered with them for years but they were so unreliable. Switched to Philips Hue and all my troubles disappeared. Hue bulbs work fine without a hub via Bluetooth, but to make the best of them I would recommend that you get a Hue hub. The energy rating F is under the new rating since 2022 which was the old A+ rating. The new rating measures lumens rather than Watts, so not easy to compare, but these are still far more energy efficient than the old style bulbs.

Good bulbs if you like warm lights
Got these bulbs when they were on offer under £10. Create a warm rather than bright light. So ideally for when watching TV but not necessarily when reading.

Mine even works when the internet is down.
These link to blutooth and network really well. Mine even works when the internet is down. Seems much more reliable than my lesser known branded smart sockets.

Great!!
Was abit nervous about these because of reviews but these work great!! stairght out of the box. Easy/quick installing connected via Bluetooth thorgh the hue app on my Samsung galaxy and works absolutely fine via Alexa. If you like me are abit worried to buy don't be they work fantastic have one 1 in the livingroom and 1 in the bedroom, dimming is perfect to alot of scene to choose from, Brightness is very bring and tat yellow but again that's what I wanted cos white light hurts my head (personal reference). Great buy hopefully the life spans good.

Works well
Shame no colour but that would be a different product/ these work fine/ they work with Alexa and apple home and apparently Google. You can dim them and switch them off with voice commands and at a cheaper price than others that’s a good thing. Nice to be able to ask Alexa to turn off the lights
