Spigen Liquid Air Designed for Google Pixel 6 Pro Case (2021) - Matte Black

I like my phone cases to be low profile/sleek, and preferably TPU material. It was difficult to find one for my Pixel 6 Pro that fit that criteria. Even the official Google case, which costs $30, did not fit well. My go to case brand had ways been Diztronic, but I guess they stopped making cases.... By chance I found this case, and it is awesome. It fits perfectly snug, low profile, and a cool little pattern on the back. Covers camera bar pretty well also. Wish it came in different colors, but it fits awesome and feels great in my hand. If you like bulky look, this is not for you. I'll update this review as needed after long term use, but for now I am very happy with this purchase.

I really like this case. It is thin and light. The texture provides a secure grip. The button covers are easy to tell apart and touch individually unlike my previous Spigen case that had thick buttons that were hard to differentiate. That case served me well. Lasted over a year and a half. Gave great protection from damage due to falls and might have cracked due to heavy use. But, this case is a great improvement. I don't know yet how sturdy it is or how well it will protect the screen from falls. Perhaps the secure grip will keep me from finding out!

Since the Pixel 6 Pro is such a large phone, I didn't want a case that made it much bigger, and harder to slide in and out of my front pants pocket. It also needed to protect the phone. This case does both...not too big, AND, isn't too "sticky" like the old Otter Box case I had on my LG G4 was, which made digging it out of my pocket a chore. This Spigen is a great balance between being slippery enough to slide in and out of my pocket and grippy enough to not slip out of my hand. It has also protected my phone in the few times I've drooped it, as well as protecting the screen when laying it face down on a table. UPDATE - Now that I've had the phone a year, I have managed to drop it a few more times, and this Spigen case has protected it every time! By comparison, son has an iPhone 13 Pro with some kind of clear case and dropped it, denting the edge of the phone's frame and destroying the screen. Doesn't necessarily mean the drop his phone suffered wasn't worse than all of mine, but maybe a Spigen Liquid Air Armour case would have saved him from a $300 repair bill?

Spigen makes great cases. It's attractive, fits perfectly, and didn't add much bulk (wireless charging works). The texture is great in your hands, but my OhSnap! grip's adhesive just will not adhere to the surface.

Excelente quality and protection.

I've been a fan of Spigen for years, and had their Thin Fit case for my Pixel 6 Pro since I originally bought the phone, which was just after the phone was released in 2021. That case held up well, but after 3 years, it started showing it's age, and Spigen doesn't sell it anymore, so I went looking for the next best option. This adds a similar amount of thickness and grippiness, and am very happy with it.

I bought this because I had experience with the company. I was a little concerned about the pattern on the back, thinking the grooves were deep and large and might collect lint and dirt, but in reality, the pattern isn't even visible from two feet away. The case fits well and the pattern on the back gives just enough texture to keep it from sliding, while still being smooth enough to slide in and out of pockets without catching. It seems like a lot of thought went into this case. Note: I have never dropped a cell phone, so I don't buy and don't expect my cases to protect the phone from drops, but I think this would also give some reasonable protection in that regard.

Spigen makes solid products. I had one on my Pixel 4a5G and now my Pixel 6 Pro. A few drops and no cracks. A lot of their cases are low profile, which a lot of people like. They don't slip out of your hand and offer very good protection. Now to those naysayers about this product - not everyone carries their phone around in bubble wrap. What you see is what you get here. And what you get is a good product.

Bon ben y a pas photo.... ou plutôt si. Le sujet mérite des photos mais les photos ne disent pas tout. Elle ne disent rien de la texture ni du poids. Or précisément, ce sont les 2 différences avec les coques TPU classiques (j'ai acheté auparavant la Cyrill by Spigen). La texture du dos et des côtés est parfaite : elle optimise les sensations pour une bonne prise en main. Le poids est plus léger que la coque ne parait, ce qui la rend particulièrement agréable. Alors la couleur noire est passe partout et un peu ennuyeuse pour tout vous dire mais à mon avis cette Spigen Air est juste ce qui se fait de mieux en matière de compromis légèreté, prise en main et protection et même prix. La durabilité sera excellente, car mon fils possède une Spigen Air sur ses Samsung depuis des années et je sais qu'elles vieillissent très bien. Bref, avant que d'autres sortent mieux, c'est juste la meilleure.

It's a great case overall: It's thin, offers enough protection for the type of case (camera bar + raised lip around the screen) and the feel in the hand is good enough for a synthetic material. The case has easily grippable sides and the texture on the back helps with feeling that the phone is secure in your hand and not about to slide off. The buttons as well aren't too stiff but offer protection from everyday scuffs/scratches. As for drop protection, I wouldn't trust my 899 phone to survive in this case, or any case for that matter. The fit of the case allows for my Whitestone Dome screen protector on the front glass to work. All in all a great case, especially for the price. I alternate between a leather case and this depending on the occasion. A leather case looks and feels more premium but costs 3-4 times as much. For the price this is one of the best cases you can find.

As always with Spigen cases, I am impressed with this one. The price is the first thing anyone notices - which in this case is good, not overly expensive and not cheap. The case looks great and has a nice texture which makes it easy to grip, the phone being quite slim too means that you shouldn't really drop it when just holding it normally. The cut-outs are where you'd expect them and the charger fits perfectly with no issues. In terms of protection, there is always the risk of some damage depending on how high or forceful a phone is dropped but from chest height I wouldn't see any issues with this and would expect it to do it's job in protecting the body of the phone. A screen protector is obviously needed alongside this and the case allows for one without protruding too far over the edges.
