Perfect hammer for metal stamping and the rawhide end is great for flattering metal without damaging the surface. The weight is great, you don't get tired wrists when hammering for a few hours. I also bought the double copper end hammer in this range. Both are great value and I'd def recommend buying it. Would but again if needed to replace this one. The copper will wear down (this is normal as it needs to be soft when using with steel metal stamp as it doesn't damage the punch) The rawhide side is long lasting, I do have another rawhide mallet which I've had for about 10yrs and this is also still going strong. Rawhide tends to be very hardwearing so is expected to last a long time.

I have seen a few of these types of hammers but never knew who made them or where to buy them. When I came upon a listing on Amazon, I immediately ordered the small "A" model with both copper and rawhide ends. My preliminary tests at the workbench suggest I am going to like and use it wherever I have need to strike a solid blow without marring whatever surface I'm working on. I have and use brass and rawhide hammers but haven't been really happy with them because they are relatively lightweight and when I need to strike a hard blow, they just really don't do the job. This hammer has a forged iron midsection on the head which serves as the housing for the copper and rawhide striking surfaces and provides an authoritarian weight when a blow is struck that I've found lacking in my single head soft hammers. I plan on using mine to work on leathercraft projects, gunsmithing, machine work and any job that requires a firm blow with no chance of damage to the work surface. The fact that I can replace either the copper or rawhide ends when excessively worn is an added bonus. I can highly recommend this brand to anyone who needs a well-designed and high-quality soft blow hammer. They're not the cheapest, but quality never is.

Très joli petit maillet que j'utilise pour le travail du cuir avec les griffes à frapper et les emporte-pieces. Attention au poids lorsqu'on choisi le maillet. précédemment j'avais acquis le modèle ( Thor 310 32 mm 850 g ), adapté par la taille mais trop lourd pour mon usage. Mais vu le rapport /qualité prix, je l'ai gardé.

Super Teil, sollte In jeder Werkstatt zu finden sein. Liegt gut in der Hand, und hat das richtige Gewicht. Nutze es mit meiner Drehbank.
