Best thing since sliced bread (which doesn't remove U joints)
Purchased to remove the axle shaft u joints in a Jeep Wrangler (2004). Anyone who has replaced u joints knows what an incredible PITA this job can be. This puller made short work of the job. Watch the video, a couple of times, before trying it. It's not quite as intuitive as one might think, but once you've done it once or twice, it's a snap. The threaded shaft came pre greased and it popped two u joints out with no trouble. A word of caution though; insure that the retaining clips on the u joint caps have been removed; especially if they are the interior style C clips. I neglected to remove one and this puller forced the u joint cross through the cap, popping the top off of it (the cap). Sprayed needle bearings everywhere.

Light truck TIGER TOOL
It was enjoyable to merely set the u-joint tool (under the ear and onto the cross) and twist the driver. Only a light tapping on the ear was necessary to un-bungle the corroded u-joint caps (and only when twisting became too difficult), and the movement was regained. The large-ish price is overcome by: ease to use with a simply good fit and quality build. This well built, durable tool should come with a trophy case! I will definitely keep it well oiled for my next (road-solvent-corroded) u-joint replacement. More mobile than a bench vice and easier than the C-clamp method(s), and the new caps were easily pressed in with my bearing kit.

Great tool
I have changed thousands of u-joints over my lifetime with a vise and hammer, the worst being axle u-joints on 4x4 front ends, i am getting older and have damaged my shoulder from using a hammer all the time, can’t seem to get away from helping friends so I needed to find a new way, thought I’d give this a try, still needed a hammer but it made changing axle u-joints a lot less painful this time, I would recommend this product for anyone doing u-joints on a regular basis, great tool

Great tool, best used with impact wrench
Worked well with my GM truck. Changed both u-joints on driveline in 45 minutes with about 25 minutes spent learning how the tool works. Works best best by pairing with an impact wrench. This tool is excellent for driving out old u-joint, pushing joint from side to side to position c-clips, and pushing the "ears" apart so the installed joint has the proper amount of play. Ease of use I rated highly, but it takes a little trial and error to get it figured out at first. I never want to be without this tool for driveline work in the future. Despite being a bit pricey, it has already paid for itself in my book, saving a lot of time and hassle and I have only changed two joints with it so far.

Where has this been all my life?
As a professional automotive technician I'm kicking myself for not buying a this tool sooner. At this price this tool will pay for itself in time saved, on a couple jobs. In the past I've fought with adapters on ball joint press, or the hammer and vise method. Recently I had a u-joint fail on my personal 2001 f350. I heard about this brand from several guys in the HD world that swear by tiger tool. I decided to order this to try out on my own truck. My u-joints were a bit rusty. With this tool I was able to press out both bearing caps with my 3/8 ratchet in about 5 minutes. I even did one cap one handed, and made a video with my other hand to show my father who has been in the industry for years. He was amazed by how this tool worked as well.Tool worked so well I told all my friends in the industry about it. I wouldn't even consider doing u-joints another way now. Tool is so cheap I'm thinking about buying a second tool to keep in my truck for long road trips. Please excuse the Shakey video as I used this tool and filmed at the same time. Will post up a better video next u-joint I change.

I was really hyped to receive my UJoint tool but when I opened the package the tool casting was slighty bent. I think its a QA error but now I have to go myself in town to ship that tool back. Since the tool seems problematic, I dont want it to blow during a critical job and let be honest, it's not the cheapest tool. I expect a straight well QA tool at that price. The one I used from another mechanic seemed fine and a quality tool. I hope to find a straight one from the same brand.

Didn't work on my 2011 or 2006 Tacoma u-joints. Super disappointing as it is very expensive. Unded up hammering out the joints anyway, so waste of money for me.

Tiger tools are always quality and work as intended. Obviously there is always some odd ball cars this won't work on, but its a fantastic tool and will last!

I bought this tool because like most people i wanted to solve an issue with hard to get out and rusted u joints. I decided to buy this tool as i wanted a quality product and did not want to cheap out . The tool looks good and is made from quality parts. Unfortunately it did not work for my application. It kept slipping off the knuckle ears and bent the ears on another joint. If you watch the video I am sure they didn't use hard to get out u joints and that is what I bought it for. The cup ends broke also making it a mess and even harder to remove. Now i am stuck with a u joint remove tool that doesn't do what its suppose too . It might do well in some r applications however my application is somewhat common 1350 Spicer u joints on a classic car. I am thinking there are better tools out there for this application . Its a nice tool if it works for your type of application . Other wise a waste of 150 dollars
