This BBQ cleaning brush is exactly what I needed for my smoker, and it has quickly become a favorite tool in my grilling kit. The nylon bristles are a key feature for me, perfect for lower-heat cleaning and a great alternative to metal bristles, which can pose safety concerns. It's important to note that this brush isn’t meant for use on hot grates (as stated by Traeger), but for my smoker, where the temperatures stay relatively low (around 230°F, and nylon typically has a softening point of around 325°F-350°F), it works beautifully. The tightly packed nylon bristles do a fantastic job scrubbing off residue, especially when dipped in water, which also helps keep a freshly used smoker grate a bit cooler. I particularly like the dual-grip and the weighty brush head, which together provides excellent leverage for a deeper clean. The wood handle bit feels great in hand and offers plenty of reach, and It even includes a metal scraper on the top for those stubborn, stuck-on bits. All in all, this is a thoughtfully designed, well-crafted brush that’s ideal for anyone looking to clean a smoker grate or cooled grill grates effectively without metal bristles.
