Kingston 8 GB microSDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card SDC4/8GB,Black

This is such a great value for a 32 GB microSDCH card. I purchased this for my Amazon Fire 7 tablet and it works perfectly. This one is a fraction of the cost of several others and I can't tell any difference. The great thing is that it immediately transforms my 8 GB Fire 7 to a storage capacity of 40 GB (well, nearly 40 GB because a few gigs are used for processing purposes, which is the case with all microSDCH cards). Now I don't need to worry about downloading my books and audio books. I have a over 100 ebooks, too many songs to count, and nearly 40 audio books and I have everything downloaded on my microSDCH card. The main reason this is important is so that I can access them without needing an internet connection. I also keep several movies on my Fire, which is very handy for long plane rides or when my grandchildren need entertainment. Even with all of my files and apps downloaded on the card, I still have tons of unused storage. I want to send a shout out to Amazon for designing the Fire 7 so that we can add a mciroSDCH card. Many well known brands do not have this feature. In addition, if I want more storage than 32 GB I can always upgrade to 64 GB. However, this 32 GB is large enough for my needs so I won't be upgrading any time soon. By the way, I purchased a total of three Amazon Fire 7 tablets (one for me and two for my grandchildren) and I purchased one of these cards for each device. With each one, we don't need to worry about the amount of files we can keep downloaded on the devices. This 32 GB microSDCH card was a few dollars cheaper when we purchased it in the Spring of 2016, but I would not hesitate to purchase another one for any device that I want to upgrade its storage capacity. We also have not had any issues with any of them and all three are heavily used on a daily basis.

Not sure what these are listed for right now, but prices were pretty stable around 12 bucks for awhile, when I got mine to go along with a new device that was capable of taking advantage of High Capacity Micro SD cards. I wasn't looking to spend a whole lot (actually around 12-14 dollars), and was hoping to find an 8GB one. Unfortunately, they were around 20 (still a good deal if you NEED 8GB), so I went with the 4GB. My regret is not regarding the size I got, actually, it is that I didn't learn more about what "class" meant in regards to to the cards. I now know it refers to speed, more specifically transfer speed. Essentially, for the people out there not too into the technical aspects, the higher the class number (4, 6, 8, etc) the faster the transfer speed of the card. For my current purposes, it's not a big deal, and noticeably faster than the regular MicroSD cards (I had a similar device before that was almost identical, but couldn't read the HC cards, and got a new one that could, which was just about the ONLY difference between the devices). However, anyone purchasing this for a higher end digital camera, or anything that would benefit from the ability to transfer information faster, should consider getting a higher "class" card, like a 6 or 8. They are only a little bit more expensive usually, but the speed difference CAN be noticeable if your device would be helped by additional transfer speed. Sorry if I repeated myself a bit, but I wanted to be clear and stress those points. But for a general purpose MicroSDHC card, it definitely is exactly what I was hoping for. One thing to note, it DOES come with an adapter, but NOT a High Capacity adapter. This won't make a difference if you're running Windows Vista, or can hook the device (with the card inside) directly to the computer. If you don't and can't, however, you might want to look into getting a card reader that reads HC cards, or just get a different product that DOES come with a High Capacity READER (they do exist, and ARE packaged with cards...again, usually just a bit more expensive). I hope this review helps answer any questions that weren't answered by the description; they cover the things I personally wasn't sure about when I ordered. Definitely a good product, though, so don't let the block-o-text scare you off.

The picture shown with this item is misleading. I assumed I will be getting the micro SD card along with the adaptor for SD Card slot. However I just got the micro SD card. I needed this primarily for my digital camera and as a backup for my smartphone. Not able to use this microSD card for my digital camera.

I purchased this MicroSD card as I was looking to add some expandable storage for my phone. Kingston has always been a reliable brand for me and this product continues with that trend. Installation took seconds and functions like any other flash drive device. Build quality is similar to other MicroSD cards, and as a 'Class 10' card it has very fast write speed. Overall I would recommend this MicroSD card to be purchased if you are on the market to easily add some expandable storage!
