Brass Valley - 4" Black Flip Latch - Solid Cast Brass

This was exactly what I needed! I bought an outdoor storage cabinet that came with a very awkward and ugly wooden latch. I used this latch instead and I'm so happy with how easy it was to install, how it looks, and how well it works. It was a good price compared to the other options I considered for purchase. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This is a great item. As presented in the item photos it has a nice heft to it. It also has a more hand-forged appearance, not as slickly manufactured as other latches, which was exactly what i wanted for the rustic/industrial look I'm going for.

This latch compliments the barn door hardware nicely. It is more of a smooth finish than the powder coated handles we have. (Not as matte) They are heavy and a substantial size. Seem to be well made. The screws came with to install.

These are just great! (Why is this style so hard to find? It's the best!) Slightly old looking but not that overdone super-hammered look. Great for my clapboard 1930 house's picket fences. It's kind of weird that there was an extra piece that isn't pictured, and a couple of the photos posted on the page look different than what actually arrived, but they're great anyway. Good, easy motion. My only complaint is that there isn't a piece that would stop it from swinging all the way around once it's opened--that extra piece isn't thick enough to do that. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but they still warrant five stars.
