BSI Bob Smith 152 Insta Set Accelerator, 8 oz.

I have no idea what's in this bottle but it can do more than set super glue. The label says it can clean off marker and other things, so I decided to give it a try. This liquid is the best adhesive remover I've ever discovered. I've used Goo-Gone, alcohol, erasers, heat guns, metal strips, and nothing has come close to how good this stuff is at removing adhesive label backing. If the adhesive is super thick and can be scraped off, this stuff will turn it into a goo that can be buffed out with papertowel after a spray or two. It's quite magical and works on Sharpie, among other things that could dirty your projects. Of course, it sets super glue well. I like to hold the bottle far away and get as fine of a misting as I can to avoid crazy bubbling and roughing of the superglue's set surface (usually only happens with copious amounts of super glue (which goes against the super glue instructions)). This refill bottle was the same cost as a single tiny spritz bottle. Since I used up my sprayer, I've only used about a quarter of this refill, and that's while also using this as my primary cleaner for literally anything. My only warning is that this stuff is incredibly thin and while trying to pour it into the spray bottle, it kept adhering to the side of the bottle and pouring everywhere except where I wanted it. Best to use a funnel and keep some paper towels handy.

I've tried several canned spray accelerators, one brand in a red & white can another in a lime green & white can. These other brands gave mixed results sometimes working and sometimes giving me a dried white crusty CA surface. I've learned the aerosol cans are very inconsistent in the spray pattern and most of the product goes to waste since you don't need a lot of accelerator. I've tried another brand's pump spray and it leaked all over when trying to use the poor pump sprayer. So I purchased a nice little spray bottle at Walmart that gives a very fine mist and decided to try this Bob Smith Inst-set a try. I've been using it for a week and it has performed 100% perfectly. No issues whatsoever. I can't believe other reviews of this product are experiencing that white crusty situation. If they are, I'd suspect they are using too much and/or are not spraying a fine enough mist at least 6-8 inches away from the CA glue. One other thing I noticed about this product is that it takes a lot longer to evaporate which is a good thing for it to work correctly. It seems to take a few more seconds to work than the other brands but that again is good if you want great results. The smell isn't too strong and didn't bother me at all. This will be my go-to accelerator from now on. I purchased the larger 8oz refill and use my own spray bottle. I'm so glad to have finally found an accelerator that works for fixing voids in my wooden bowl turnings and get such nice results without having to worry about incorrect CA glue surfaces. Whatever's in it and whoever designed it sure knew what they were doing. Hats off to the chemist at BSI!

I use it to do what it's made to do ... accelerate the curing of CA adhesives, and it does it well. I have but one criticism and it's not about the product, it's about the ad on Amazon Prime. It implies that it has a spray nozzle. Looking at the photo, it didn't look like it did, and it doesn't. Just take a look at the ad and clean that up. AND, since it does not come with a way to dispense it, please add verbiage that tells buyers what kind of plastic spray bottle and sprayer will work with it, as in something compatible with the product ... a plastic it won't melt. Thanks though ... as I said above, it's a good product and a great price.

Works great with all my CA glue.

I've used some CA activators before that down right stink. This stuff actually smells kind of good in a weird way. I tried it with a spray bottle on multiple different CA glues from basic super glue and super glue gel all the way up to Star Bond ruberized CA glue and it works great on all. Honestly tho, the thing that has me sold here is the smell. I can use this stuff in the house and my wife doesn't complain.
