I’m thrilled with the quality. They are reasonably priced and the snips are very sharp and cut through an old envelope really easily.

Great value having a 3 part set. I’ve read reviews criticising that they are covered in oil, I’m glad they are as you can keep them stored without fear of corrosion as they are an all metal product, very normal practice when buying tools. Just clean one pair at a time to use and put the others into ‘stock’. Razor sharp when first used, mine got heavy use as I used them for precision, close cuts on thread used as rigging on a wooden model galleon, so thread might have glue residue etc.. therefor after a time the points blunted a little, but the rest of the shears are still sharp. I’ll probably break out a new pair when it’s time to build another ship. I don’t think you can go wrong for the money, but I wouldn’t buy them for cutting anything heavier than thread, paper etc., very thin cutting blades.

Covered in some sort of oil, presumably to protect them from damp but making them unsuitable for fabric crafts in my opinion as even after cleaning off they're still leaving slightly coloured traces on my hands. They'll be good for gardening- extremely sharp and may be suitable for other crafts
