High quality product, it worth

I love the baking dishes from Emile Henry. The dish itself would get 5 stars, but I have an issue with the description. It is not the LARGE baking dish made by Emile Henry. This is the MEDIUM baking dish that Emile Henry sells on their website for $70. The dimensions listed are correct, though. The actual LARGE baking dish is bigger and it sells for $81 on the Emile Henry website. I’m keeping it though because I also purchased the lid. I have another medium baking dish with the lid and I love it. I could have ordered this directly from Emile Henry and saved a few dollars, but I took a chance that it might actually be the LARGE baking dish with a cover. That would be amazing, but the medium is actually a better size for my family.

This dish is great for making lasagna and roasting in one dish. It helps the cooking by retaining the heat. And it is safe in gas fired ovens and high heat. Browning the top is also safe under the broiler. Cleaning is easier than most pans because of the smooth ceramic finish. Just need to soak it first. I haven’t tried the dishwasher yet but it can go in there.

The handles are perfectly shaped, making lifting in and out of the oven easy and comfortable. A beautiful oven dish.

Love Emile Henry though!
