Never Touch the Wild Animals

My granddaughter really likes these sensory reading books. She spends hours with these. She is learning to read and loves to read to me. When she has these sensory books she is also learning to describe what she feels and how the texture feels.

Love these books, we have six of them. The touch and feel aspect is perfect for my two year old AND the stories are so cute and rhyme!

I love these books and use them for early intervention with my toddler clients. They love to run their fingers over the textured pictures and turn pages of the board book. The books are very colorful and help with functional objectives such as identifying/imitating animal sounds. I have purchased about four books so far. My clients love it when I read the story and identify the animal and the sounds the animal makes.

Love these books. If you have an interactive child who likes to grab the book out of your hands, well look no further. They get to touch every page and each one feels different.

We love this series! It introduces a theme of animals, vocabulary, and textures for our toddlers. It not only helps with our OT needs, but grows our word knowledge also.

My kids and I absolutely adore Never Touch the Wild Animals. The versions with the five silicone critters are hands‑down our favorites — nothing beats watching a toddler gleefully poke, squish, and aggressively befriend each creature like they’re forming a tiny, sticky‑fingered fan club. The textures are tucked into the pages so cleverly that the books still stack neatly on a shelf… theoretically. In practice, my toddler treats these books like priceless artifacts that must always remain in circulation. Attempting to put one away is basically an act of rebellion. Each page is its own mini‑adventure, and with every turn there’s one fewer critter to touch — which somehow transforms story time into a dramatic countdown. It's like they’re watching a plot twist every single time: as if they didn’t read the same book yesterday… and the day before… and the day before that. These books are durable, adorable, and endlessly entertaining. If your kid loves sensory fun, the whole “Count the 5 (insert one of many book names) … if you dare” series is a guaranteed hit. Just be prepared for your child to love these silicone critters more than some of their actual toys.

I work with neurodivergent kiddos and they’ve all been very into these books! I believe the different textures helps them stay engaged

My granddaughters love these books and the older of the two (3yrs) picked out the ones she wanted. She’s really enjoyed the variety of animals in this one

I don’t want to sound effusive but this is such a good one in the entire Never touch a series. We have this and Never touch a Shark, both are whimsical n fun. This helps with counting too. Entire series is better than the “That’s not my” series

Lovely book. First time we ordered the book it arrived damaged but a replacement was quickly sent.

My daughter loves these touch books more than any other touch-book brand! She’s only eight months and she took a huge interest in them around the six month mark. Great for curious little babies.

My son (2yo) loves these books. This one is his favorite right now!

Our one year old loves looking through these books herself. There is a lot going on font and image wise on each page which is a bit busy. She is not as interested in the spots for touch/feel as she is with the books that have different textures and materials. These are all rubber.
