Chore Boy Copper Scouring Pad-2ct : desertcart.in Review: Works well for cleaning different materials. I use them for cleaning rust from metal without scratching like steel wool. Review: I've used the Chore Boy Copper Scrubbers for years and they are a great product. More or less, these are copper strands that are spun, shaped, & bundled together, allowing them to be used as a scrubber/scouring pad. Size-wise, the scrubber is generally about 2 to 3 inches in diameter (obviously this size changes once the scrubber is stretched, compressed, or used.) As a copper scrubber, these have some advantages over steel and foam/fabric/plastic scrubbers. This biggest advantage is probably that a copper scrubber will give you much more aggressive cleaning action than a foam or plastic pad will, yet it is not nearly as hard on cosmetic finishes as steel is. This is thanks to copper being softer than steel and makes these scrubbers especially well-suited to cleaning stainless cookware/tools. I use these scrubbers and Bar Keeper's Friend to clean my All-Clad cookware...compared to the foam pads I used to use, using these copper scrubbers DRAMATICALLY reduces the effort needed to clean cookware that is seriously dirty/gunked-up, Additionally, these copper scrubbers will not rust and so they won't crumble apart due to rust (not to mention it eliminates concern from accidental ingestion of rust.) Due to the differences in usage conditions and frequency of usage, how long these last will vary dramatically based on who's using them on what and how often. I use these on a pretty frequent basis and these usually last me about 2-3 months. So while I cannot tell you how long these will last you, I think you will be satisfied with how these hold up. I usually replace them once small bits start breaking off. The biggest downside to these is that they are expensive. Copper is expensive and since this is made of copper, there's no way around the price. Since copper scrubbers work so effectively and save me significant time over other products, to me the higher price is completely justifiable. Overall, I highly recommend Chore Boy's copper scrubbers.

We bought this for a very unusual application of a cleaning product. We live on a boat and use sea water for cooling. Unfortunately, sea water has critters and vegetation which clog anything, whether a bottom of a boat or a hose or a pipe. Fortunately for our purposes, critters and vegetation don't like copper. So I cut one up and put it in the intake of our cooling line, and the remainder in the filter. It should stop our clogging for good, now, and is fine enough that it doesn't impede water flow at the volumes we use. I love it when a plan comes together!
