A daily part of my morning routine
Great coffee maker overall. Love the quality of the coffee produced. The black color looks great in my kitchen. I’ve used it for more than a year now daily and I haven’t had any functional problems with it. Produces coffee at a nice warm temperature and keeps that same temperature for quite a while with the hot plate at the bottom. Easy to set the programmable timer, although it does reset if you have a power outage at your home. It’s a little annoying having to reset it each time. Would be nice if that was hardwired into the machine so I wouldn’t have to reset it each time. It’s also relatively easy to clean when needed. Overall I highly recommend this product!

Great coffee maker!
After trying literally 6 other coffee makers, I finally found what I'm looking for. This is a solid well-built coffee maker that does everything you want it to do. It brews nice hot coffee and has an auto 2-hour shut-off. It is also programable so you can set it to brew whenever you want (like 5:15 am for me). The top flips up for easy access to the filter basket and the resiboir - which holds about 11 cups to be honest. The display is green LED so it is easy to read and designed with ease in mine. at 12 cups, it is bigger than we need, but with so many other great features, I love it. Great coffee and a great machine!

Great Coffee Maker!
This is a great coffee maker! I have one in my kitchen, one in my craft room, one in my home in Florida and one in my fifth wheel RV. It is compact in size yet brews 12 cups. Brews coffee quickly and is so easy to program to auto brew. It doesn’t have a ton of bells and whistles which is why I like it. When the clean light came on mine I called customer service because I couldn’t get the clean light off after it was clean (user error). Customer service was so nice and explained what to do…. Problem solved! I definitely recommend this coffee maker.

The best part of waking up..
Perfect simple coffee pot. Easy to use and timely brew. Not the highest quality but gets the job done and reasonable cost.

Wow!
I purchased this to replace a version of this coffee maker that was either 20 or 25 years old. I've owned two of the older model and don't know which one I was still using. I wore the plastic cover off the 'Brew' button on it years ago... You couldn't pour coffee out of the old pot (carafe?) without it siphoning up the side of the pot and splattering coffee around the target when it was full. My daughter who has small hands had trouble handling the pot when it was full. Wow! It's amazing when new and improved really is. The pot included with this model looks almost the same but isn't. The handle has been redesigned and my daughter has no problem with it when the pot is full. That surprised me because the handle is actually bigger. The pot itself has been redesigned and coffee can be poured fast without siphoning up the outside of the pot even when it's full. No more coffee splattered around the cup. I like strong black coffee so the 'Strong' option is really nice and produces great coffee. The 'Clean' indicator is a nice feature which reminds me to clean the pot after every 60 brews. It cleans the pot plumbing but misses the outside of the vortex spout (sprinkler?). I now scrub the spout with a brush dipped in vinegar before starting the self cleaning process. I love this coffee maker. I really love the 'Strong' option and not having to be really careful when pouring out of a full pot. Kudos to B&D for the great product improvements.

A great coffemaker for the money
My old coffee maker died after about 30 years. I researched Mr Coffee and the reviews said quality had gone downhill. So I looked at this Black and Decker unit instead. I have used this at least 50 times since I bought it so I would say that I am pretty familiar with it. Here’s my review: - it’s fine - it brews coffee quickly - it has an automatic timer and turns off if you forget and leave it on the burner - it is kind of loud, but that’s OK - when you first start using it, the basket is a bit quirky, and a couple of times I did it wrong where the coffee didn’t drain properly and I got grounds in the drink. But after a while you learn to just double check it after you put the filter paper and coffee in and you can kind of feel a “click” when you align it properly and shut the top. But it is possible to put the basket in the wrong way I know it because I did it a couple times - it has the “sneak a cup” function, meaning you can get a cup while it is still brewing. That’s cool, I use it a lot. However, a minor problem is that one drop always spills when you do it (not a lot, just one drop) because when you take the carafe off from under the basket and the connection is lost it just always drops one drop that sizzles on the burner. Not a giant deal, just a minor thing that bugs me every day a little bit So it is definitely worth the money, and works fine. Coffee tastes good, it is fast, and it has automatic shut off. Works great for me. And it is very cheap for what it does. If it dies in a couple years (which I expect), I will just go on the forums again and find another one that is best rated at the time (and cheap) or just re buy this one.

Simple and easy to use
Over the past few years, I have tried several coffee maker machines. The issue I had was the coffee was not hot. The last one was a named brand and expensive maker. The coffee came out at about 150 degrees which is not that great. This unit makes darn good coffee and it is HOT and stays hot for all twelve cups. Very simple machine, with no frills or difficult programming, just off and on. You have only a couple of choices, time delay and coffee strength, that's it, which is all one really needs. As far as quality, this unit is not built that great, a bit flimsy BUT it works well and makes good coffee. And, for the price, who can complain? Update; It is advertised as a 12 cup but it is not. I measured and the pot only holds about 10 cups. Not big deal but it is not 12 cups.

Not bad for the price, but has some flaws.
We bought this one to replace our dead coffee maker. We wanted a programmable one that would start automatically in the morning, and this one fit the bill. Overall it isn't a bad coffeemaker. It makes coffee just fine, and the programmable feature works as expected. Here are some of the pros. 1. Programmable "on" timer is easy to use and works well. 2. The clean cycle feature is very handy. You just pour in the prescribed mixture of vinegar and water, start the clean cycle, and the machine does the rest. 3. The price is right And now for the cons: 1. The "Clean" indication periodically comes up to remind you to clean the unit. This is a great feature, but it isn't executed well. The problem here is that it is not based on actual number of times coffee is brewed. It is based on the number of times the unit is turned off and on. The problem there is that we routinely turn it off and back on just before the 2 hour auto off kicks in so that we can force it to stay on longer to keep the coffee hot. This causes it to trigger the "Clean" reminder well before it is actually needed. It would be nice if it had a mechanism to detect scale build-up like Keurigs do. 2. The carafe drips very easily when pouring, especially when it is full. It is very hard not to make a mess when pouring a cup of coffee.
