Will help you think like a cloud engineer to better understand the difficulty questions and hopefully pass the exam 1-2 attempts Review: How to become a GCP architect that really knows how to build environments - I have been in the tech space for over 20 years and one of the biggest problems that I have seen recently is that people do not understand how to architect a solution. Techies typically understand how to configure a product work and maybe if we're lucky they have a topical understanding of architecture. The lack of true architecture skills is what is holding this industry back. This book will help you learn how to architect solutions in GCP (and arguably any cloud) in a way that allows you to securely scale your applications and your organization. I will warn you - this book will help you architect solutions....it is not a book that will teach you commands or how to configure the ins and outs of a service. But that is by design (remember this is an architect book). If you want that level of information - go read the manual (or read Medium). The two really great things about this book are 1) it is short and concise - you will not find filler content in this book. That is wonderful - I was able to knock out the entire book easily in a weekend and 2) its a great intro into Google Cloud.

How to become a GCP architect that really knows how to build environments

Helped me pass the new exam
I took the new Professional Cloud Architect exam and passed with this book alone. The book is solid, and the author of the book made the content incredibly easy to consume. It didn’t feel like reading a technical book, rather, diving into the life of an architect and reading a story. Very compelling and looking forward to the next books.

Enjoyable Studying
I was in a bit of a rush to complete the certification so I was focused on high priority chapters of the book. It was great content that got me what I needed. But that's not what makes this book great. The author communicates through analogies and storytelling the principles and not just the tech. With less of s time crunch I going to go back and read/reread the places in the book where the Author spent the time to breakdown the "why" questions and answers because he did it in a truly interesting way that connected with how I learn. Great resource that'll come back to again for sure.

Works as a great guide
I wanted to give a shout out to @Iman Ghanizada for this awesome book - it was a great resource along with the Official PCA Guide. Both these books along with their associated digital exams felt like they were far more representative of the real exams compared to questions (and answers) found in the many GCP exam prep services, practice exams and programs rife on the internet. I appreciated the accurate calibration of the level of detail required for the significantly large scope of the certification exam.

Your Google Cloud Journey Starts Here!
The author did a great job of communicating technical concepts into a way that most people can understand and get to the point of topic. Also, providing insight on how to prepare for the exam was extremely helpful. I highly recommend this book for anyone that is serious about Google Cloud Computing.

Great book. Super easy to follow!
Best certification book I’ve ever read. The author did an amazing job at making all of the content relevant to the certification itself while also keeping the text engaging and easy to follow. You don’t need to be a cloud expert to be able to read this book. You just need to be determined and consistent and the book will help you get certified.

Even more stale than Google-published learning-resources
One of the reasons I went looking for a book like this is that the learning options from Google, themselves, are, uh, "not great". Even when you find courseware, it's quickly rendered stale by how much Google likes to change things (product names, navigation-links and overall service-layout *WITHIN* GCP, etc. Mostly, I'd purchased this book in hopes that the practice test questions it came with would give me a better idea of the types of questions that might be on the PCA exam. THAT part of the purchase looks to be useful. The actual "on paper" text-content of this book — particularly hyperlinks — are hopelessly out of date. Lots of 404s if one transcribes links from book's pages to one's browser. Had I noticed the 2021 publication-date, I might not have purchased this book (I assume it was a much better reference in 2021 than it is in 2025). That said, even Google-published learning materials (on PluralSight, Coursera and even their own CloudSkillsBoost/Qwiklabs site) suffer from staleness. So, I'm not super surprised that a paperback would suffer the same problem, but I still have to let it inform my rating.

I enjoyed this book a lot and I think it's very useful to make sure you're preparing the exam with the correct mindset. If you're looking for a reference book, it's not that. You have of course to integrate it with the GCP documentation and hands-on experience. However, it touches most of the topics and, most important, it really explains the correct mindset that you must have when approaching GCP exams, which are a bit different compared, say, to AWS exams, which are more based on pure notions. GCP exams are more based on reasoning and applying your knowledge and the book does a very good job in preparing you. It is also, as the author says, a book that prepares you not only for the exam but for the role itself. The point is: given how GCP exams are structured, these things are very similar. The questions are also developed to make you understand which is the philosophy of the real questions. So in the end it's definitely something you might want to read before the exam, if only to make sure that you're approaching it in the correct way and have all the basic necessary knowledge. Btw, I passed the exam, so it worked. :)

The content of book is really good but some of the pages in kindle edition is missing, which is really frustrating. Anything can be done about it?
