JW Swing N'Perch 1 Ring Small

Great item - my Linnies love it and haven't destroyed it yet!

I bought this based on the picture of a lone budgerigar swinging on this perch it looks smaller in the picture. I should have taken greater note of the dimensions. Luckily my tiny canary has a big attitude and he just owns this! I've often considered putting two swings in the cage rather than perches as he flies end to end and as any well loved canary will tell you swings are more fun than perches. So in some ways it is too big as it takes up a lot of his flying space but it can replace a perch. Wish they made one in "tiny". Quality seems good.

I have 5 parakeets in a flight cage. I hang this in the middle of cage. They like sitting on it. 1 of them will perch on it to sleep at night. My parakeets are completely board with most toys except ropes, mirrors, sea grass huts they can shred and shreddable kabobs, but they like this. Larger than expected. Sometimes one sits inside the ring and one sits on top of the ring. I’d buy a second if I had an aviary. Swings a bit when they get on it which they like. This brand is good overall of inexpensive bird toys. I like having the soft ropes like this is made with for a variety on their feet, seems like that would be beneficial to them. I’m not a vet. Really glad I spent the $13.

When I first opened the swing, I was so afraid it was too big. But it fit great in my cage and I can almost always find at least one budgie on the swing. All four get on here sometimes, too, with two on the top of the perch (not sure why they like to be up there!) and at least one sleeps on it every night. Definitely my bird’s favorite place to be! It is very sturdy and has a great hook that my birds can’t open (and they are good at taking things apart!)

Firstly I am so impressed by how sturdy this was made it has a thick plastic wrap at the top and metal hoop/hook so that the birds cant chew through it! Its big enough for two/three parakeets to chill out on. My birds have thus far hated all swinging perches until this one because it is so thick and sturdy that they feel safe when its swinging. The climb on the sides and even sleep on the top part of the hoop at night. Normally it takes my fussy birds a few days to even touch a new toy or perch but they had instant love for this. This is likely because they are used to the rope perches. Great buy and im sure this perch will last a long time since its so well made!
