Changes everything
Fabulous for zoom. Changes everything. Lovely lighting. I keep mine plugged in on zoom calls to ensure light remains on full power.

Great Idea, Poor Quality
TLDR - great idea in theory, but mine stopped working properly within a month As we now work from home more, I wanted to make my video call set up look more professional. Enter the ‘Lume Cube’. It throws a lot of light at many different colour temperatures, which is great. However, the diffuser isn’t really strong enough at high settings and the battery life isn’t great when you turn it up. It means you’ve got to have it plugged in all the time. However, the biggest issue is that after about a month it developed a flickering (see video) when it is off and plugged in. Naturally this makes it useless for its intended purpose unless you swivel it away. I am yet to hear back from Luke Cube customer services. Pros: - Bright - Multiple light temperatures - Manual controls, not software Cons: - Flickering LEDs when off - Low battery life at high settings - Needs a stronger diffuser

Avoid
I’m sorry to have to echo some of the negative reviews. Beyond the lowest setting, the units switch off after very short periods of time (I’ve bought 2 with the same disappointing result) - even when plugged in. I’m sat near a window so to avoid the half shadow on my face, I need my face illuminated. These just don’t fit the purpose. If you are in an enclosed dark space with no shadows, then these might be ok using the lowest setting to help illuminate. But otherwise very disapppointed, especially given the price of c.£80 per set. Would return and request refund if I could.

I love the form factor, compact enough to fit on smaller desks. On the flip side it's not powerful enough if you plan on sitting further back from the screen (I'm sitting very close to the screen). It's very bright, I never use it at 100% so it usually lasts around 2-3h depending on the brightness. The good part is that I can charge it while using it, so it's not a big deal if running out of battery in the middle of a call. The stand is excellent, provides a lot of adjustments when standing or sitting at the desk.

'LUME CUBE Beleuchtungsset für Broadcast' met my expectations. I like to use it on the little tripod/stand, cause it allows me to find the perfect angle (meaning: my glasses don't glow as much on the video). I can charge it using the USB port of my computer. As some have mentioned before, the device gets a bit hot. But I haven't had any serious problems (yet). I would definitely recommend watching the product video Amazon has posted here!, it's a very nice introduction and anserwed many of my questions. Dislikes: The price. EUR 139 really is on the higher range. I hope it has a top-notch quality and does not die on me any time soon!:-)

I’ll start this by saying I’m not a professional photographer, blogger or person who has a studio but after CoVid am using tech that I never could’ve imagined. So...about the LumeCube. Besides that it is just a super cool looking design, it is functional and easy to use. Hold the blue button on the side for a few seconds and it comes on. Use the little wheel next to the on button to brighten up or down. There is a display on the back if you wish to check the actual numerical values. One of my pictures shows that. With the diffuser on, it gives my face a soft glow. Great for zoom meetings. I use it to balance the light in a poorly lit space while teaching remotely. Weighs next to nothing and is easily moved from one place to the next yet is sturdy enough to stay wherever you place it. One charge lasted me for two days of teaching - on for about 8 hours at the lower setting. I should’ve checked to see where the battery was but I figured, that I’d just charge it anyways. It gets pretty bright and I did use the lower level of brightness because that seemed to look best for my situation in the daytime. The lowest level (warm) also gives my skin a golden glow that looks awesome on camera. The telescoping stand wasn’t easy to figure out at first but the height is great for my needs and it stays locked in wherever you pull it out to. It’s 30 inches from the floor to the base of the light and the light itself is about the size of a 3x5 card. It’s smaller than my iphone plus but about double the thickness. The light at the top is easily angled and set with a thumb turn knob. I’m super pleased with the quality of the telescoping light and would def recommend this to a friend. I did not try out the suction cup attachment but it’s nice to have as an option should I decide to change my setup and just added to the value. If you’re looking for a light for your home studio, you just found it. Update - 3 weeks of regular use later. I use this 5 out of 7 days a week to balance the light in a room that already has natural daylight streaming in on the opposing side. I leave the silicone diffuser sleeve that came with it on at all times. The light is set up so it’s about 3 - 4 feet from my face and at nearly the lowest (1% of 3200k, warm) setting. One charge usually lasts me several days of about 6 hour each time. Right now, the display on the back says that I have about 4.2 - 4.4 hours left on this charge at this setting. If I changed the setting to 10% of 3200k it shows that I have 3.1 hours left. At 100% 3200k it shows 4 minutes left. I have plugged it into my usb hub (using the usb-c to usb cable that came with it) and it works just fine while charging. Also, to reduce glare and the reflection of the light in my blue light glasses, Ive adjusted the light position upwards so it is no longer in the family of angles for reflection. Still loving my Lumecube light!

Would be useful to list the diffuser as one of the items in the box or mention in instructions.
