Shark Steam Iron, Original version, Gray/Red

I could not understand why people would deduct 1-2 stars because of the manual pump function or that it broke too soon. If you really need a pump, then just buy the hand spray bottle for $2 and it will works better than the spray feature from this iron. I use it as it is and find it very functional. It's heavy so you do not have to press down hard. The tip is very nice to iron small corner/edge. Didn't need to manually spray; I used it automatically and find it problems free. Been using weekly for several months. If I need to buy another iron or have to recommend someone, I would not hesitate to recommend this one. You'll love it for sure. Remember, it's not an expensive spray bottle, so don't use like so.

I'm giving this five stars based on its low price and the way it compares to irons costing much more. I find the ergonomics to quite nice. It's solid, which is nice, but not too heavy. I'm not sure why an adult would think it's cumbersome in the least. It does an excellent job of ironing - lots of steam, wrinkles disappear quickly. Like seemingly every other iron made these days, it has leaked on a couple of occasions. I think it might be a function of water level, or letting it cool down inadvertently. It's not nearly as bad as a couple of others I tried (and returned). I think irons, like toasters, are probably all made in the same terrible Chinese manufacturing facility - one with very poor quality control. That might explain why 1/4 of the reviews on here are one star. There are probably a fair amount of lemons. I'm just glad I didn't get one of them. Like others have said, the water level is a bit tricky to read, unless you're actually filling it, and the level is changing. Might want to keep a small flashlight handy in order to see it, unless you happen to do your ironing under surgical lamps. Overall, for $25 (or considerably more) I don't think you'll do better than this.

I bought this to replace another shark iron. My previous iron worked great but it started to collect clear bubble things (possibly due to not emptying out the water after each use). Since my prior shark had performed well, I decided to purchase another shark iron. I was unable to find thr same model and went with this one hoping it would work just as well as prior model ( I also have a different brand iron that didn't work too well). This shark iron was heavy, but worked just as well as my previous shark model. Filling the water reservoir was easy and ironing as well. This model seems to leave imprints on my uniforms that the prior model didnt (maybe dur to being heavier?) - not a big deal. I wish the auto clean function were a bit easier (I have to hold the turn dial at the auto clean setting. It would be easier if you could just turn the dial to auto clean and let go).

so far so great - my old Shark Professional (gray & red) iron finally died after 7 years of use. for the price - you can't beat a shark iron. great size - very ergonomic for comfortable use. tons of steam. love that none of the controls get messed with while ironing as the steam dial is tucked up into the inside top of the handle area. heat setting is an electronic button on the outer handle with indicator window on inside of handle. water fill door is very snug. only complaint would be to have a longer cord on it - but that's just my personal preference. hope it lasts as long as all my other shark iron's have in the past. great price here at amazon too compared to the big box stores! died after 4 2/3 years of use - probably 1x week for work shirts mostly. not bad for the price! glad they are still making this model - already purchased a replacement at a better price than the original! hope to get as many years out of the new one!

This iron is amazing! It works very well and lasts over a year, if not longer. It’s easy to use and has a strong steamer. The water capacity is just right, and I love that it automatically shuts off when not in use. It removes wrinkles with ease. I absolutely love it!

My original Shark iron lasted me many years until the cord failed on me. I was thoroughly impressed with this replacement. Not only was this iron cheaper, but it works better than my older iron. This iron is quick to heat up and has your normal settings for cloth material. The light shines orange when heating, then a well seen green light when ready to rock and roll. The iron is connected by a swiveling cord so you won’t have to worry about getting all tangled up. No complaints here, exactly what you need in an iron.. plus it looks fast with that sweet red paint job.

I love this shark iron ! I previously had a shark iron that was wonderful, and lasted for over 5 years,and still have as a backup. This iron works just as well as my original one. Easy to use,and i love how much steam it gives out. I constantly iron my wrinkled work clothing,and it completely removes all of the wrinkles so fast,and easy. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who wants a good quality iron at an affordable price. I give it an "A +" .
