So simple to set up and use with the GUI interface. Using optional fibre modules for downstream connectivity. Very quiet.

I bought this because we started dealing with a lot of Unifi products at my job, and I found them to be solid devices. The centralization of controls for all the Unifi network devices is a nice element if you want to keep managing your network a bit simpler. While it does provide a simpler approach, this switch still supports advanced features such as VLAN support. I know other people have chosen to replace the internal fans with some Noctua fans to decrease the noise level, but honestly, I don't have an issue with it. This is quieter than the switch it replaced and is quieter than some of the other equipment I have in the same rack. There are some users who have encountered issues with their controllers seeing their switch, but mine installed with no issues. My controller just runs in a Docker container on one of my servers, and I didn't have any trouble. I have installed the controller software on Windows PCs for several clients at work and those have been the only times I've encountered any adoption issues.

Very simple to setup if you have the cloud key. I already had a Ubiquiti Edge router, so I simply plugged these in, acquired them and some simple configuration to get up and running. I would consider Ubiquiti to be a prosumer grade of product. I'm in IT for a living and have networking knowledge and find these very simple to setup and administer. Most home network admins would be able to figure it out with some perseverance if they want anything other that simple switch capabilities. If you want to start to setup VLAN's and basic firewall configurations, go with a whole Ubiquity solution end to end and use the wizards. They are very effective and will help you learn as you go. Router/Firewall-Switch-Access Points-Iot(Cameras) all very compatible.

Shipped quick and worked with no issues out of the box... having a Ubiquiti set up already it was plug and play into my Dream Machine, updates and good to go. No issues with setting ports on specific Vlans etc... has been running for a couple months no with no issues.
