Just What I wanted

Not great, patties come out way too thin (think those frozen burgers that come in tall stacks). Worthless if you want to do a burger with onion or anything else in it because they're so thin they'll fall apart. You can get a 4 oz patty out of it when it's adjusted to the biggest setting. The adjusting bit jammed instantly after one use, no it won't go back down no matter what which isn't really that big a deal since I don't think I'd ever use it thinner than that but you're better off getting a non adjusting one because meat gets stuck in the crevices since the top plate isn't one solid piece. You have to saran wrap the top to prevent it getting all clogged up.

Discolours easily after washing and putting it back together carefully the soft metal threads felt rough, a little vegetable oil didn’t help much. Also it doesn’t actually adjust enough to get more than a 1/6 pound thin patty. I’ve decided to get a simple metal ring the right thickness instead. Live life/learn lessons ;)

Used it once and didn't do its job properly. After I washed it the shiny coat came right off, leaving a gray layer of who knows what. The gray was all over my hands. Horrible. Took me a while to remove the color from my skin. When I was finally done I threw the gadget in the trash. Amazon, you should not be selling this product. It is probably toxic. And yes, you should refund me.

The hamburger press looks just like the picture, but feels incredibly cheap. It is lightweight aluminum, and the top is heavier than the bottom so when open, it falls over. The worst thing about it is that it cannot make thick patties. In fact, on the thickest setting, the burger is quite thin. I didn't go through the trouble of returning it, but regret buying it.
