Have used these for years, mostly outside patio doors or in garage and shop building, and they appear to stop a fair number of ant invasions. The great advantage these have over most others is that they resist our dog chewing them up and getting poisoned. To keep the dog from getting at them, I place them under a slab of rock or bricks around our two patio doors. They do a good job of eliminating the ants that try to invade those locations. The rock keeps the rain off as well. Even if our 12 pound dog gets a hold of them he is unlikely to chew the metal up enough to get to the poison. A large dog might be able to access the poison, but this is much better than the plastic bait station that most brands use these days. A small child would similarly be protected. To open the holes on the can, I just poke them with a screw driver. Easy Peasy.

No joy with this one. Ants crawling in and out but still firmly alive.

Oh! How the ants love to come into the windows of our new house. The first season I struggled to find a solution. This is the solution! Each spring, I thoroughly clean the windows and casings. I pop one of these between the screen and window glass and it keeps the ants nearly invisible. Even in heavy sideways rain, these continue to work throughout the spring, summer and fall when the ants used to come marching one by one. I buy them every year and they work well each time.

Okay, so I've tried everything to get rid of the ants in my kitchen, and this is the first product that actually got rid of them. The ants are mostly gone; I see a straggler here and there, but it's getting rare.
