INCLUDES ICE CREAM MAKER, Stainless Steel

After researching the wide variety of bread makers out there, I decided to order the Cravit bread and ice cream maker. I loved the sleek, stainless steel design and the price felt right for such a nice unit. I received this machine in two days, in excellent condition and immediately ran out to get the few ingredients needed to make my first loaf of bread (low carb, whole wheat). I'm happy to report the first attempt produced EXCELLENT results and our house smelled amazing for hours! The QUICK START guide inserted in the box was very helpful with 3 simple steps to ensure every loaf is perfect right out of the machine. Yesterday my wife made a delicious cinnamon bread and it was the best I've ever had!! There is also something very comforting about knowing exactly what’s in the bread our family is eating. Even better, THE ICE CREAM MAKER. This was an additional feature of the bread maker that I thought was a nice bonus we might use now and then. However, the kids were all curious about it! Last Saturday afternoon, they were determined to try it, we all went out for the few ingredients needed (added some chocolate and caramel syrup and sprinkles!) and made our first batch. Not only was it easy and quickly made (7-10 minutes), it was delicious!! Now I just stock the fridge with ingredients and the kids get all excited about making ice cream when they want (within reason). Again, nice to know exactly what is in it...and I've been purchasing the low fat/low calorie version of everything (they don't care as long as it tastes great), to make it a healthier treat. The serving size is about right for 3, and you can make two batches (possibly three, but we haven’t tried that yet) back-to-back. Couldn't be more perfect! I was really disappointed they did not include more ice cream recipes with it, but fortunately I Googled “homemade ice cream recipe” and found there are hundreds of great homemade ice cream recipes on the internet. They should actually mention that in their manual! The machine itself is very user friendly without much instruction and the non-stick coating of the bread bucket makes it simple to pop the bread out nicely when completed. Lightweight and non noisy, this bread maker was well-thought out and designed. Also contains a great little manual with instructions and various bread recipes. We are so happy with this purchase! If you're looking for a great bread maker AND ice cream maker, this is the ticket!!

First of all, let me say I can not honestly review this item's overall performance as I have never owned a bread machine therefore have nothing to compare it to. I was looking for my first bread machine and found this one had very good reviews, although not a lot of reviews. The price was a bit more than some, but not as much as others. I wanted something I could use for regular bread as well as gluten free. It arrived very quickly and very well packaged. I really like the stainless steel look and the ice cream maker is just a little bonus. I do already own an ice cream maker, but this will come in handy for making a small amount. When I opened the user manual/recipe booklet though, I started to become very skeptical and worried that this was a bad decision. The manual is written in very poor english! I had a hard time figuring out some of the user instructions, and as for the recipe area, it is ridiculous. I ended up going online to find recipes. For instance: all of the bread recipes call for high gluten flour, even the gluten free recipe, and no where in the manual or on the machine does it tell you that you have to freeze the ice cream tub before using. I think for the price you pay, they could at least have a good quality, professional manual printed. You might want to keep this in mind and have some recipes ready to try if you decide to buy and have never used a bread machine. I did make 1 regular loaf of bread and 1 gluten free loaf of bread, and absolutely love how easy it is to make a loaf of bread in a bread machine. I have been baking for over 30 years but have never tried a bread machine before. I only wish I would have tried one sooner. This machine is a bit louder than I expected when it is stirring or kneading, but as I said previously, I have nothing else to compare it to. I call it a mini washing machine. I have not yet tried the ice cream maker.

Great idea! Poor execution. I was so excited for this machine and what it claims to be capable of. Unfortunately after reading the manual and precisely measuring the ingredients and in the proper order, it failed to mix the ingredients and knead the dough. This was the first time out of the box and it sounded like the gears stripped out of it. The paddle turns when empty but not when it has batter in it.
