Solid engaging movie.

Great love story

It is very delicate

Hugely entertaining and beautifully filmed. The plot is gripping from start to finish and the whole film gives an insight into the fine line between illusion and reality and the misdirections upon which magicians depend. This reminded me of 'House of Games' on which Ricky Jay also collaborated and which is also a great film. The sets, costumes and scenery are simply magnificent and while I agree with the comment that the colourisation of the film is slightly over-saturated I never found this annoying. Edward Norton Jessica Biel and Paul Giamatti are all completely convincing in their roles and Rufus Sewell also excels as the wicked son of the Emperor. How the Americans love to see the Brits cast as the bad guy. This is the only aspect of the film I found slightly irritating. The directors commentary is very enjoyable and explaims many of the mysteries in the plot, illusions and special effects you can't work out for yourself.

Best thriller seen this year on bluray. Captivating story and clever magic tricks that satisfy your inner Harry Potter. This a film you watch again and question parts, and is a conversation point in our household. If you never seen it like me, give it a go. The great Paul Giamatti gives an interesting outlook on the whole proceedings, at the end he has to do a Poirot, and works out the whole plot in his head. Great film... 👍👍

One of those films I never grow tired of watching. Brilliant! Similar to another, The Prestige, but at the same time NOT the same. Both highly recommended!

I absolutely adore this film!!! if you like romance, drama and most of all ILLUSION... Then I definetely recommend this film!!! Edward Norton as well as the whole cast pull of a spectacular performance and you are left amazed as well as put through the emotional ringer!!! The DVD came in a great condition and it's even better in blu-Ray! Since its German you have to change the language to English but that's easy ;) overall don't think just buy, it is worth it!!!!

Possibly a bit moot now that this has been released in the UK but this DVD imported from Canada is region locked to region A. When I play it in my UK machine it informs me that it may not be viewed. Fortunately for me I also have a US Playstation which plays it fine. * * * Great film. One of my favourites. The scenery is a real treat in hi-def. Highly rewatchable even after all the secrets are revealed.

Dos en uno qué sorpresa, lo siento pensaba que solo sería el Blue por el precio de oferta, en fin la peli llegó en excelente estado, al tiempo de entrega estimado. En cuanto a la peli solo la recomiendo si te gusta el misterio de la magia y la cursilería del amor.
