Update 9 Sep 2023 - the device has stopped actuating in one direction. 6 weeks doesn't seem like a reasonable lifespan. To be fair, this does live in a chicken coop, bit it's about four feet off the ground on a marine battery box with a sealed battery and a charge controller. No moisture or other contaminants have been inside the box whenever I have checked, including today. Original review: I got this to replace another remote for the actuator which opens a chicken coop door. The other remote only needed a single short key press, so should have a long battery life. Unfortunately I also have a couple of remotes for wall outlets which intermittently activate the chicken door switch. This model only works as long as you hold the button, so even if it it reads a signal from the other remote, it only pulses the door actuator briefly rather than opening or closing it at the wrong time. Kudos for including an extra battery and the correct size screwdriver for changing it in the remotes

This is the third product I've bought to try and get this latch system to work. YES, 3RD! This is the first (1ST) to actually work, and it is the simplest set-up of the 3. I'm using it for a 12v Linear Solenoid instead of an actuator for a custom latch that was built for my custom door on my custom (😆) homemade van/truck conversion. The other 2 setups both would instantaneously overload the second I pushed the remote button. This unit, no problems. I can press the remote button and it will hold the solenoid in until I release it. I've done it for up to 10 seconds and have cycled it more than 20 times without issue or failure. I AM VERY, VERY HAPPY! I can finally finish insulating and closing this wall up, after MOOONNNTTTHHHSSS! WOO-HOO! The only issues I have are minor. 1st) The remote buttons say "UP" and "DOWN" on the 2 buttons, but A) my system is in/out and B) both buttons do the same thing in my setup. I would have preferred that my buttons were blank. 2ND) It only comes with 1 remote. I would have preferred an option for 2 in case I lose one. I contacted UYG and their customer service was exceptional. They said they don't sell only remotes but offered to send me factory returns free to try, and provided instructions on how to program additional/replacement remotes. They also provided instructions on how to wire a secondary momentary switch to supplement the system. I turned down the free returns because I tried programing the remotes from the other failed systems and they worked! Now I have 3 working remotes. Lydia with UYG was incredibly helpful and obviously proud of the company she worked for. My only recommendation to UYG is that they offer a package with 2 remotes as well as the option to purchase remotes separate. The product itself is Great, secure latching wire connections are Fantastic. Quality feeling product, including the feel of the remote. I highly recommend this product. I have already ordered additional products from them.

I purchased this product to control a linear actuator that I installed on my drafting board to adjust the tilt. The wiring was intuitive and I was able to connect it all up in a short time. For the most part the remote control works but occasionally, it creates a jerky move in one direction. I don't use this very often and therefore it is not a big issue for me.

Got his remote kit to control a linear actuator that steers my trolling motor. I was pretty impressed with the package, and specifically the attention to detail: - definitely high quality materials, especially the fobs. The buttons are a non-slip silicone that makes them nice to use. - extra battery for remote included - mini-screwdriver for changing the remote battery included - plenty of wire for connections - good quality, secure plugs So far, no reproach. Everything looks, feels, and works great. Hoping that it works for a long time.

I bought this product for a cosplay wing I’ve been working on with my dad the past few months. Wanting things to be easier, I purchased this to make the wing work remotely. It worked the first few times, but by the next day after installation, it stopped. We checked everywhere to see what the issue was. Wires, ohm meter, you name it we did it. There was no reason for it to not work. It just stopped. I’m so utterly disappointed because the due date for this project is close and I have no time to purchase a replacement. I threw it out as soon as possible. Wouldn’t recommend this product at all.

I designed and built a remote steering assembly for a pontoon boat trolling motor. This wireless controller allows the boat's operator to move about the boat and make course corrections without running back to the tiller. The remote and receiver are dependable enough that the boat can be steered with confidence from anywhere on the craft. I'll be outfitting other boats with a setup making use of this product.

Great product works with linear actuators, and as expected! Hope it lasts, and batteries are not a big drain, but at this point, it was easy and works flawlessly!

First off, Unit worked well after fixing Linear actuator and power in plugs are backwards, required removing 4 screws and swapping plugs on the circuit board. Also, the OEM plugs that tire the harnesses together are defective, no continuity between the wires, docked the plugs off and wired in weatherpak connectors. After fixing these few problems the unit worked well with both key fobs flawlessly. Specs: Module uses a constant 0.1 amps at 12v in stand by mode, and with a actuator being used it uses about .76 amps with a 6" stroke actuator without load.
