Innova DX Wraith Disc Golf Driver

Gave this as a gift to my college-aged child. He loves it. He's got his bag of discs, and this one now has a prime spot. He likes the quality and design of the Innova brand, and the fact that there are so many options for weights and flight patterns. He's a fan. Just be careful, though....you might find yourself in a winter game of disc golf, trudging through the snow!

This disc flies great it’s not to overstable and works well for forehand or backhand throws.

I was upset when I got my first order of this disc. I was given a black disc with a green stamp (literally the worst combo ever), so I returned and reordered. I like getting random colors, but I was surprised they would even make a driver in black and green. Thankfully, the second disc was bright pink, very easy to spot. The wraith flies great. Predictable fade that doesn't spike for me, and it really sails. The plastic probably won't hold up forever so I may look into other options if I need a repurchase.

The greatest thing about a new disc is that time after you order it and before you throw it for the first time. The expectations are other-worldly. Once you throw it, you may not quite as enamored, but then it's just time to buy another disc. I'm a recreational thrower who only throws backhand because of a shoulder injury, so I don't have an expert opinion that anyone should use as a buying guide. It's a disc, it goes kind of far for me. I don't think you can tell how well a disc is going to work for your style until you try it. So, give this a try. It makes a great camping plate if it doesn't throw well. The food doesn't roll off the plate when it's on your uneven lap and you're eating peas because of the great lip on it.

Even though there was no instruction manual, I was able to figure out how to use disc. Shot put style doesn’t work well. Tried using two-handed initially, but seems to go farther by using one hand. Remember, the top has the logo on it.

I have played this disc a few times now and I really like it. The colour is very bright and easy to find and the disc performs as per the specifications.

This disc is great for more experienced players, but it greatly exaggerates a bad throw for beginners. Research the numbers on the front of the disc and know that high first number is actually the speed you need to throw the dick (in this case very fast) in order to have it perform properly.

I was new to the hobby when I bought this and didnt realize that DX is a material that gets beaten up very easily. After hitting some trees and/or hitting hard ground, its definitely going to stop flying true to the flight numbers.
