I have been dealing with TERRIBLE looking nails since my last chemo in 2019. The chemo altered my nails permanently. They have been soft, impossible to grow and file. Filing only made them more jagged. They are lifting from their nail beds (slightly) and I now have ridges, bubbles, dents (first photo of natural nails). I'm giving all of this info as a background of why I feel I need this product. I was using another product (cheap version) from Amazon and it dyed my nails an ugly yellow, but they are growing out and their natural white & pink are returning......thankfully! The imperfections that the cheap version caused show up in my photis with JUST the Mavala Phase1. It is not the Mavala causing the weird look on my nails. So I used this Mavala product and my results are impressive for me here are my results: The brush- Low quality brush. The hairs stick out somtimes. They should have made a better quality brush. But it does do the job. Phase 1- • I applied 2 coats of Phase 1 with no issues. It goes on smooth, and evenly very easily. I can't tell if it self levels. It is clear, shiny and slightly milky when it is wet. NOTE: I found applying the first coat (phase1) from the middle of my nail to the tip, then appyling the 2nd coat (of phase1) on my entire nail resulted in stronger nails compared to applying two even coats on my entire nail. • Dries to a slightly rough, duller (but still some shine) milky white. Dries in 5 min to the touch- completely in 10 min. • Once dried completely there is a roughness to it. Not as rough as glitter top coats, but it does have fibers so there WILL be roughness. The roughness COMPLETELY dissapeared after I polished my nails. Phase 2- To be honest after looking at other reviews, seeing photos of it, and looking at the color of it myself, I SKIPPED phase 2. The color is not attractive at ALL. It will affect the color of your polish. It is an ugly, pearlized orange pink that does make your nails look sickly (another reviewer stated). They REALLY need to change the color. Why not a pretty pink? I will try it in the future but as a first time user I did not want to be traumatized by the whole experience, throw it in a drawer, and eventually throw $25 away. INSTEAD- This is what I used and it worked extremely well - 1.) Phase1 - two coats, let completely dry 10 min. 5 minutes between coats. 2.) I used a very good quality base coat instead of phase 2. I used Dazzle Dry Base Coat - 3 coats. 3.) OPI -Switch to Portrait Mode - 3 coats 4.) Dazzle Dry Top Coat - 2 coats. My nails were still soft after all of these coats, but I was able to wash my hands many times (quickly) with no issues. FINAL RESULTS- Waited 24 hrs without long water exposure like a shower and my nails ARE MUCH harder. I can no longer bend them. All of those coats of polishes including Mavala have almost completely covered and filled in ridges, dents, flaking, etc. I am not expecting perfect looking nails, but my nails do look much smoother , they ARE stronger, and look prettier. I am a new believer in Mavala products and I will be using this system from now on❣️

Great product, but did not feel that it truly strengthened my nails. I got the fiber so that it could form a more protective barrier for my nails, but at times found that the fibers did not do much and looked weird on my nails without me putting color on top. Easy to use and dries pretty quickly.

This stuff works! Much healthier than acrylic powder, which has to be soaked & filed off. All you need is polish remover for Mavala. My nails are actually growing longer & thicker, past my fingertips (I've never been able to get them to stay this length). I'm extremely satisfied.

Did not work on my nails. I understand the concept, but my nails peeled and the polish didn’t protect the ends. I was going to return it but I missed the deadline by one day. I’ll have to toss it - waste of money.

This nail system strengthens my nails & keeps polish on longer. I use it before every fresh polish!

Für brüchige strapazierte Nägel gibt es nichts Besseres. Kenne und verwende dieses Produkt seit über 30 Jahren! Ja, ich würde mkr wünschen Mavala wäre weniger teuer, aber wenigstens weiß ich hier, was ich bekomme. Und toll wäre es, wenn man die beiden "Lacke" separat kaufen könnte, da der Überlack meistens schneller leer ist und ich dann auf Alternative ausweichen muss.

This product was recommended to me for my permanently damaged & split fore finger nail. This product cares and seals the nail so the split is smooth and therefore doesn’t catch on anything. I was always having to keep the nail short, because if it got to the tip of my finger, I would catch it and I did tear part of the nail off. Using masala nail shield has enabled the nail to grow back and I don’t have to worry about it if it does grow to the finger tip. It hasn’t cured the split, because the damage was done at the root of the nail but it seals and protects it so no more worrying about catching and tearing it again. My money was well spent on this product and I would highly recommend it for problem nails.

Li he usado aproximadamente 2 semanas y mis uñas han mejorado mucho ( más resistentes), lo único que no me gusto es que el esmalte se hace de un color raro, pero aún así lo volvería a comprar
