There isn’t any set up required so that is a plus. It was compatible with my fan and the same size so it still fits in the original wall mount. These remotes are made very well and I’m pleased with the battery life. Function as described.

This replaced a missing remote for a 25 year old ceiling fan. I was not up to getting on a ladder and taking the fan apart to find the the correct code so I just set out to logically try each of the possible 16 different dip switch settings in the remote and was lucky enough to hit on the right one on my 5th try. Now I have a clean, bright, smoothly functioning remote again.

Set the dip switches to match the old remote, put in the battery and it works great.

I bought another unit else where and it did not function as expected. This, however, worked like a champ!!! I bought it to replace my Hampton Bay fan/light which was no longer working consistently. I've been in the house for 17 years and the previous owner had the fan/light installed, so the old remote needed to be replaced. I liked it so much that I ordered another for the setup in the living room! It was a bit tricky to set up, but took less than 3 minutes. On the first use, the light and fan turned on and off. However, the fan speeds did not switch from Low to Medium to High. The trick was to turn both the fan and light OFF using the pull chains and then use the remote to turn the light & fan on. Worth every penny!

I read and followed the instructions, watched their video, went a got a FRESH 9 volt battery and put the dip switch in the same position as the old remote, tried turning on the fan(high, medium and low speed,) then tried turning on the light and....ta da.....NOTHING!!! Tried several times and still NOTHING. IF the old remote works without changing any of the dip switches and the new remote doesn't, and if the dip switches are identical matched on each remote unit, something isn't right. So I tried the old remote. Although the old remote is worn out, with some patience it will still work. Tried the old remote and it worked. Be aware of what you buy on AMAZON!! I am infuriated. This is my LAST PURCHASE FROM AMAZON!! I would of given it a rating of "0", but I couldn't of submitted anything unless I gave it some type of rating, so the lowest has to be a "1" and not a "0". So the real rating is "0".

Easy setup I have had to buy these before and have had no problems

The remote was easy to program and works well. However the batter rattles around inside. A small piece of foam could have prevented this.

After owning a 22 year old remote for my Hunter Ceiling fan, I found this replacement and it works perfectly. Once I knew that it would work, I ordered another one for the bedroom. Very pleased.
