. Review: A Masterpiece of Mind Games and Suspense - If you're a fan of psychological thrillers, then Death Note is a must-watch anime. The Complete Series Standard Edition on Blu-ray is a treat for the eyes and ears, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the twisted world of Light Yagami and the mysterious Death Note. The story follows Light, a high school student who discovers a supernatural notebook that grants him the power to kill anyone whose name he writes in it. As he begins to use the Death Note to rid the world of criminals, he attracts the attention of a brilliant detective named L, who is determined to catch him. What sets Death Note apart from other anime is its intricate plot and complex characters. The battle of wits between Light and L is a masterclass in suspense, with each character trying to outsmart the other. The anime explores themes of justice, morality, and power in a thought-provoking way that will leave you questioning your own beliefs. The animation and art style are also top-notch. The characters are well-designed, and the use of shadows and lighting creates a dark and eerie atmosphere that perfectly fits the tone of the story. The Blu-ray version enhances the visuals and colors, making the viewing experience even more breathtaking. The Complete Series Standard Edition on Blu-ray comes with all 37 episodes of the anime, along with some special features like interviews with the cast and crew and behind-the-scenes footage. Review: A Thrilling Cat and Mouse Game That Even Non-Anime Fans Can Enjoy. - I'll be honest, I've never been a big fan of anime, but when I stumbled upon Death Note, I was instantly drawn in by its unique and captivating premise. This brilliantly crafted series is a thought-provoking exploration of the lengths one would go to in order to catch a killer with paranormal abilities. If you're anything like me, you'll be enthralled by this cat and mouse game. Death Note is a masterclass in storytelling. The series follows Light Yagami, a high school student who stumbles upon a mysterious notebook called the "Death Note". This powerful artifact grants the owner the ability to kill anyone whose name is written in it. The story takes an interesting turn when Light decides to use the Death Note to create a better world by eliminating criminals. This attracts the attention of the enigmatic detective known as L, who makes it his mission to unmask and apprehend this new vigilante. One aspect of Death Note that particularly stood out to me was its intellectual complexity. It's not just about the action and supernatural elements; it's a thought experiment that delves into the ethics and morality of taking justice into one's own hands. The series presents various perspectives on the matter, leaving viewers to question their own beliefs. The pacing of the series is impeccable, as it balances intense moments of suspense with quieter, character-driven scenes. This allows the viewer to become emotionally invested in the story, making the experience all the more engaging. Even if you're not a fan of anime, the compelling narrative and relatable themes make it an enjoyable watch for anyone who loves a good thriller. This series will challenge your mind and keep you hooked from start to finish, making it a worthy addition to any collection, even if you might not agree with some of its conclusions. As a libertarian, I do have some qualms about the conclusion that the series seems to lean toward - that only the government has the moral right to dispense justice. History has proven that this notion can be flawed and that centralized authority isn't always the answer. However, despite this ideological disagreement, I still found the show to be incredibly engaging and thought-provoking. In conclusion, Death Note is a remarkable achievement in storytelling that transcends the boundaries of its genre. Its unique premise, captivating plot, and thought-provoking themes make it a must-watch for fans and non-fans alike. This series will challenge your mind and keep you hooked from start to finish, making it a worthy addition to any collection.

Great Anime
Death Note is a classic anime that everybody should watch. It's great and has a good story, even if the ending isn't quite right, and L is a great character. The Blu-Ray itself is good and is good quality.

Be warned, this won’t play on a Japanese DVD player, but it will play on a PlayStation 4. The seller was very helpful when I had questions about the delivery. The product is also good, I’ve been wanting to rewatch Death Note for years and now I am! Thanks again.

Death Note is a classic worth adding to your BD collection. The story is very intricate and advances gracefully. At the risk of being too obvious, this is not your typical "cartoon." It conveys such quality you might forget you're watching an anime. Trust me, my mom liked it. I feel the actual content has been extensively reviewed by fellow commentators and I will rather focus on the format. Unlike what is stated in the product info by Amazon, this particular release comes with DTS-HD MA tracks in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and obviously Japanese, albeit only in 2.0 configurations. Still, I am thankful for the inclusion of Master Audio rather than some sub-par codec. Picture quality is amazing for an anime BD. I didn't feel like corners have been cut which is something of a rarity these days in similar BDs. The gain in quality is obvious when compared to standard definition. The video is also a full 1.78:1 in AVC at around 23 Mbps which is quite decent. There are 5 disks and they're packed neatly inside a case barely thicker than that of a DVD, it shouldn't take too much space. For French speakers out there, le doublage inclus dans cette version est celui de France. Il est d'une qualité irréprochable.

Can’t even watch it, live in the uk where we require region b to watch them But the disc is for region A only, would have been nice if they put that in the description but no, too late to return it now as well, not exactly cheap either

O estojo veio quebrado e os discos com arranhados e marcas!!! Pagar esse preço e ainda receber o produto nesse estado é um ABSURDO!!!
