Perfect tool for removing front crankshaft oil seal during my timing belt service. I was able to get the camshaft seals with hose picks and a great deal of difficulty, but failed to get the crankshaft seal out. This tool took care of the crankshaft seal in 20 seconds, and would have made removing the cam seals so easily. If you work on cars you MUST purchase this tool. I bought this tool after many years of using the old traditional hook style tool and also drilling holes and using wood screws to remove seals, I had to be very careful since both my old methods can scratch and damage the sealing surface, but now I got a very picky customer and wated all the seals replaced, this time I decided to do some research and find something less risky and better. For my surprise, this tool works great. I can't explain how happy I feel of finding this tool after many years, these seals were very tight in the holes, I was scared of breaking the tool but I was able to remove all 3 front seals with no issues at all. Really recommend this to anyone with patience to understand and use it.

It works okay, though the tip of the metal broke off. Luckily, Lisle offers a lifetime warranty, so getting it replaced should be no problem.

Terrible! Both pullers broke instantly! I inserted the puller and it instantly snapped .. I didn't even have a chance to attempt and pry the seal out. The metal is incredibly brittle! Not even worth $1!

I have used many things to pull seals when they are still around the shaft, some tools were things I made, some tools I bought, and sometimes just a course threaded screw. But this is a great addition to the toolbox. If you are pulling a cam/crank seal on an import or some other type of small seal when the shaft is still installed in the part this tool works great. I have used it probably two dozen times since I bought it and am very pleased. I have not noticed any damage to the shafts an any occasion and the setup time was minimal. I could not imagine using this tool to pull a wheel seal or axle seal. For larger seals or seals where the shaft is not sticking through the middle of the seal there are better tools to use. If you are pulling a large seals chances are there is more room between the seal lip and the shaft and you can use something more substantial that this. My only complaint with this tool is that it comes with and extra blade but there is no place to put it. I just tied it to the shaft up near the handle with a piece of wire so I can find it if I ever break the original one. Bottom line, if someone stole this tool from me tomorrow I would but it again. Is this a tool that you have to have? No, you can get by using other methods to pull these types of seals. But it sure makes thing a lot easier and make the job go a little quicker.

Handy little tool

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It is a decent tool. I used it for pulling the camshaft and crankshaft seals on a 2003 Toyota Camry 3.0 V6 engine. The first (front) Camshaft seal came out easy with this tool. The second one (rear) did not. I broke the blade of the tool trying to remove the seal closest to the firewall. Thankfully the tool comes with two blades. I had to use a different method to get the 2nd one out. The crankshaft seal came out just fine using the tool.

Fácil y sencilla de usar aunque si no se puede apoyar para hacer palanca se complica su uso. Se puede usar un taco de madera para apoyarla.

Simple but amazing tool. More expensive in the UK than USA, but still worth the money. Works as easy as it claims.
