Dang - it actually works!
I am addicted to good old fashioned military surplus 5 gallon metal jerry cans. I keep eight, what with two generators and a lawn tractor to feed. With the June 15, 2023 power outage here in Texas (windstorm), and two previous outages due to ice storms (February 2021 and again February 2022); my mother-in-law, my wife and my brother-in-law expressed their disdain for the weight of the full jerry cans in having to fuel up the generators. On top of that, my wife can't lift the jerry can to fuel our mower with the g. i. issue spout. We don't go through fuel to warrant a 75 gallon (or larger) pick up bed tank. I did some research on line, thinking I'd build a gravity feed system from a 55 gallon drum out of the back of a pickup or bench, but then someone would have to climb and fill the tank and the component would run about $300. Also, as the tank empties, it would have more air and allow more condensation thus compromising the fuel quality. Keeping full cans/ tanks reduces this drastically. Then my wife suggested several 2 1/2 gallon jugs, but again, she couldn't lift the 5 gallon jerry can to fill the 2 1/2 gallon jugs. She would need three jugs at least for a single generator fill up. So, that was out. More research and I found this transfer pump here on Amazon. I was skeptical, as it looks cheap. I carefully read the reviews, compared other brands; and bit the bullet on this one. Worse comes to worse, I'd send it back if it was bad quality or not up to snuff. I waited very impatiently for it to arrive to which it did today. I grabbed it out of the mailbox and ran to the fuel can rack, grabbed a full can and went to the mower. I filled the 1/2 full 4 gallon tractor tank with about 2 gallons in about a minute. No muss, no fuss, no drip, no noise. Went to the generator, stuck the transfer pump into the 1/2 full 6 gallon tank, and pumped those 3 gallons back into the jerry can, also in about a minute. Both transfers being filtered through a 50 micron filter funnel also sold here on Amazon. All I gotta say is WOW. This transfer pump really does make things easier. I was expecting a trickle through the hose, but this thing really fills up the transfer hose with some decent flow. It works and it works well. I might add a filter sock to the bottom pick up to prevent sucking up debris before the transfer, and eliminate the filter funnel. Now, all I have to do is seen how long this transfer pump lasts. So, my initial review is 5 stars across the board: fit, form, function, and value.

Way better than expected!
Got this pump to use for transferring kerosene from a 5 gallon container to the small fuel fill hole on two different kerosene heaters. My furnace broke, can't afford a new one right now, so the kerosene is going to be my main source of heat on cold days, thus this purchase, it makes filling the fuel tanks on the heaters a breeze! Way easier and less mess than trying to pour it from a heavy 5 gallon container with a funnel! I thought the auto cut off would be a useless feature. On the contrary, this thing works GREAT! If you put the fill nozzle in the correct (height) place, it will cut off perfectly as soon as the fuel reaches the filler pipe inlet. Consistent, very easy to use! It takes a bit of practice, however, to not spill a bit of fuel when removing the fill nozzle from the kerosene tank. I haven't quite got my method down for that, but working on it. Overall, the unit is well made, solid, feels like it will last a good while, and uses convenient D cell batteries, which are not included, so you might want to throw a couple in your cart as well. It takes two "D" cells. Great buy for the money, will save my back and arthritic hand from trying to lift that 5 gallon container! Highly recommended!

This pump seems as good as it claims to be
I do a lot of lawn mowing and therefore I am frequently refueling the machines using large gas cans. The cans are typically heavy to use while targeting fuel fills without encountering some amount of spillage. But there just didnt seem to be a transfer device marketed that was well designed and offered at a decent price - until I found this one. This Deway model has a few features that made it the “best buy” for me. First - despite its shape reminding me of the old manual filler mechanism used for kerosene heaters in the 1980’s - it is perfectly designed for performing the task. The smooth business end that you insert into the source fuel can fit even my smaller diameter can opening - And being smooth - drips are minimal or absent altogether when withdrawing it from the can “post ops”. The larger sized “D” batteries used may seem strange but cause no cumbersome inconveniences whatsoever - and the pump motor is very quiet, adaquate, and even impressive in its performance. The stated 2.3 GPM rating meant little to me (since I dont really think in those terms) but when I used it the first time to fill my empty tank, (this particular mower holds 3 gal. of gas) I actually smiled when witnessing the results. I have a couple Hustler ZTR machines. One is commercial (used on larger property) and one is a smaller or “residential” mower (used at my home). The fuel filler neck on my home machine is set at an awkward angle to fill - even using a funnel or flexible spout on the fuel can. I love Hustler machines - but this is a true negative. Anyway - not only does this pump alleviate any positioning and spillage issues during refueling, its hose has a clip on the end that holds it in the tank fill neck - AS WELL AS an “auto shut-off” sensor to combat potential overfill spillages. The on/off switch is well placed on top of the unit, the hose is perfect length to “reach” - without being cumbersome to retract or store. And just as important to me - I was pleased with the speed of fill-up. I cant find anything negative to review as yet. My commercial grade machine carries 7.5 gallons on each fenderwell (x2) so it should be VERY appreciated “there” - as it is here at home. I highly recommend THIS unit from Deway. If you have been waiting for an affordable fuel transfer pump that seems a basic, super funcional, and fast enough to get er done without feeling like you are waiting - THIS IS IT.

Makes Refilling Water Tanks Easy
I’ve been experimenting with indoor water tank setups and wanted an easier way to move 5 gallons of water around while saving my body from aches and my floors from spills. I saw this pump mentioned in a hydroponics blog and bought it on a whim. It feels cheap BUT it does the job very well and it’s easy to use. I was initially on the fence but I’m glad I justified purchasing it and for now I don’t regret buying it.

Working good so far
So far it’s working like a champ. I owned another brand before this that had an automatic shut off and when that feature failed the pump no longer worked and I couldn’t get it working.

JUNK PRODUCT - DO NOT BUY
TERRIBLE PRODUCT, DO NOT BUY - the pump is NOT waterproof and as soon as moisture gets into the electric pump, your $45 is out the window. The pump has positive reviews because people are posting after only a few uses; the durability however is HORRIBLE. The "warranty" is a joke because they clearly state "used" items don't qualify, but how else do you know it fails unless you use it? OF COURSE its going to smell like gas, DUH. Don't get the idea that you can fix it either; there are no user serviceable parts. Putting the pump down INTO the fluid is a huge design failure. Consider getting one of those hand operated siphon pumps instead; those are usually a lot cheaper to boot. Absolute junk product NOT sold or shipped from Amazon and you can now understand why because Amazon stands behind their sales whereas this seller wants nothing to do with your bad experience.

I wish I had bought this, a long time ago
I don't know why they place my tractor fuel tank which holds 5 gallons of diesel in a place requiring a contortionist to fill, but they did. I wish I had bought this long ago. It seems to have pumped faster than advertised speed But I really wasn't counting ticks. The little clip on the end of the hose worked easily and well. I have only pumped 5 gallons, but it made the fill job much easier. The pump is near silent in operation, a pleasant surprise, the switch design worked well, and the whole pump with 2 D Cells lighter than you might expect. I plan on treating this tool well as it needs that as it is a light design. I am one happy camper on first time use, I hope for many more. I suspect I will also use it on my wood splitter gas just because the design makes it a pleasure to use. UPDATE 10/9/23 i have now used this device since December of last year. My opinion hasn't changed. I use it for diesel on my tractor, filling the lawnmower and wood splitter with gasoline all summer. We keep a little over 6 acres cut and this fuel filler has seen a lot of use and is still working perfectly. I am still on the first set of D-cell batteries (2). This is what spill less refills were meant to be. Makes refilling a pleasure instead of a chore and no spilled fuel or oil. A well designed, lightweight, piece of equipment. I use it every-time I need to refuel. Followup in 2024: I have had this device since 2022. It is one of the best purchases I have made for my small farm. I don't know how long the batteries last, I am still on my first set of 2 D cell batteries after pumping hundreds of gallons of gasoline and diesel from fuel cans. Today I pumped heavy hydraulic fluid for my wood splitter using the 2 year old batteries. It pumped a lot slower, but it got the job done. I still store the device in the cardboard box it came in. Per directions I remove the batteries after use. I have had no issues with leakage, in fact I spill no fuel with this pump, far better than the retarded gas spouts sold today. With proper care, this pump is ideal for those who are tired of spilling fuel and lifting cans. I can not recommend this pump highly enough. It is a fine piece of equipment. Be careful when opening the box, as it will make a good box to store the pump in between jobs. I was a bit skeptical when I first got the device due to it being so light weight and made of plastic. I am no longer skeptical. It saves time and money.

Miracle fuel pump!
This little pump is a lifesaver/back saver for fueling up my lawnmower and anything else that needs fuel! It’s quick and easy to fill and transfer fuel from a gas can to anything that needs fuel. I highly recommend getting one and using it everyday!
