This is a replacement filter and they are great

We have enjoyed the santevia water system for three years now. It is expensive, so we recently tried other water filters. Without exaggeration, other water filtration systems just can’t compare. We use the ceramic pre-filter, fluoride filter, and mineral stones. I frequently use testing strips for the water that we filter and this DOES work. This is hands down the most thorough filtration system that removes the unwanted impurities from tap water while adding minerals back into the water. We briefly tried the Invigorated water because the replacement filters were so much cheaper, but it seemed to have zero filtration power and didn’t make any difference in taste or ph of our tap water. So we reordered our replacement Santeria filters are very happy.

We switched our in home water cooler over to this system a few years ago and it is awesome! We both drink about a gallon of water each a day and this system has no problem keeping us in fresh water! We also have noticed that our coffee tastes better and we use fewer filters in our Keurig throughout the year because of the water we get from our cooler. It is amazing to see the stuff this pre-filter pulls out of our water and it makes me glad we switched to this system, knowing that all those impurities aren't going in my body!

do not over-tighten this thing in the canister or it will crack the container. it works fine, though

This time, I was very disappointed and dissatisfied. Upon opening this pre filtration ceramic filter. I noticed black spots in different areas. I thought, it was dirt. However, upon looking at it closely, the back spots are black mold. I didn't even try to clean it or use it because mold, is a super toxic and hazardous problem. I hope, there nothing invisible wrong with the five stage filter because I wouldn't be able to see it⁉️

I have had and loved my Santevia water system for over ten years now. But they have changed the quality while uping the price on this prefilter a few times now. I loved the ones where it was ceramic on top and bottom. Don't get me wrong, I still love my water and cannot think of any other system I'd use, but this new batch seems a little slower and clogs sooner than the last few. Maybe it's because it's been a really dry summer here and water quality is worse. Idk, I'll see how long this one lasts. It might be a good change. Smaller micron filter... need a water expert to know for sure! I would still highly recommend this system to anyone looking for great water! You cannot beat the taste!
