Yes!
Wow! This little unit is amazing! I'll never sing live without it again. I've been a professional musician for the past five decades and have sang through every kind of setup imaginable, but this is a serious game changer. The doubling, used discreetly, adds a lot and the effects -- at least in a live situation -- are every bit as good as on the gear I was paying thousands for only ten years ago. Setup is fairly straightforward, assuming you have any familiarity at all with pro audio. Even if you don't, the manual is excellent and walks you through each step. I had mine programmed the way I want it in about a half-hour (though I kept clearing it and starting over from scratch for half the day; it's just that much fun to try out the different sounds). Since I bought mine, two other singers in the band have also purchased one. They just add so much clarity to the vocal mix, especially in "talk" mode. Now, even in a crowded club, people can actually make out what I'm saying between songs. Best of all, I'm no longer at the mercy of our sound man!!! For 30 years I've been trying to get our guy to dial in specific 'verbs and/or delays, etc. depending on the song. Sometimes he remembers, sometimes he does not (the joy of free drinks!). Now, every song I sing has EXACTLY the right effect at the right volume, and if it's not there, I have no one to blame but myself. Finally, the feedback cancellation is a welcome addition. It's not entirely foolproof, but it does give you a few extra decibels wiggle room before you get the dreaded screech! One word of warning: If you buy one of these, you'll be hooked. The difference really is night and day.

Great, affordable live vocal processing!
I liked the ease of use and sound quality immediately. I would recommend immediately downloading the firmware updates; the location of these downloads differs from the URL on the supplied instructions, instead a basic google search for firmware updates should point you in the right direction. The firmware update allows dimming of the button lights, which is great for performance usage. Perhaps more important is the ability to manually set microphone gain, instead of relying on the auto gain feature. Beaming presets on the fly, at gig volume, isn’t really the unit’s strong suit. A little planning beforehand, especially with the effect of the “hit” function on the presets, goes a long way. I find the unit user friendly and intuitive enough to navigate while playing guitar and singing. If lost or damaged, I’d buy another immediately.

Disappointed
Very difficult to go on line and add the harmony preset!

Great addition to my equipment - easy to use - effects the sound well.
Great product. Easy to use - simple features to adjust and change the sound and effects. I get a slightly "tinny" sound when singing thru this as compared to ,y other mic which has direct connection to the board. Not sure if it's my setting or the units processors. I don't notice that when I use the VoiceLive Touch 2 - but that unit is much more complicated to use and figure out I wanted to test this Perform V. The simplicity of the V is great selling point. The anti feedback and tone features do work well I've noticed. ..The singing notes are nudged to the right place. The room sense works well - and the adjustable reverb echo and double sound great. I will continue to use it on one mic and keep the Touch2 on the other - but if you want more sophicated sound and adjustments and want to dig into learning the software and interface get the Touch2. If you want something easy and less expensive to improve your sound go for the Perform V.

Works Great with MIXCRAFT 9
If you use mixcraft 9 this is a MUST. THE GREATEST PRESETS!!! The best auto tune, reverb, everything! Hard to find good stuff for mixcraft as is so the was the best and most fun purchase for my home studio yet! You won’t have to pay for presets or free downloads ever again. The presets are BOMB! Watch the video on YouTube to get the coolest presets that come included!!!

Super Great Buy!!!!!
This machine is very cool! It's user friendly and sounds great! I'll be using it for rehearsal and live performances. I've read complaints on how bright the lights are, personally I think the bright green glow is attractive in a dark lit room however, if one wishes to dim the lights all you have to do is single tap the set button and roll the knob counter clock then hit set again. You hardly need to read the instructions as the programming is super easy even for a beginner which I am not, I would recommend this item to anyone, enjoy...

Requires A Phone App For Pre-Programmed Harmonies - Won't Install On Some Phones!
I liked the idea of a simple vocal processor for doubling, a little reverb, and some echo, and this unit has all three, with EACH having three different settings (e.g. - reverb: small room; small hall; and large hall). The other attractive feature was being able to use your phone to "beam" vocal pre-settings from TC-Helicon's website, directly to the vocal processor! Unbeknownst to me, the phone app would NOT install on my phone. It says I need an "older" phone. I have a VERY old Android phone, that's at least 6 years old - maybe older! This is nonsense. I may be able to load pre-setting using a laptop interface, but how inconvenient is THAT if out playing a gig? Also, like other TC-Helicon products, you have to provide music input of some sort to the unit, in order for harmonies to work. You see, the unit must determine the key of the song for harmonies to work! You can either plug in an instrument, run an mp3/laptop into the unit, or depend upon "room sense" (room sense involves the unit having a built in mic to pick-up your music. the issue with that? Room noise can mess that up!). In the end, I found the unit fairly useless for my needs. I literally wasted $200+ on it! I am now using a BOSS VE-22 footpedal unit (I use it on a mount, and work the controls/buttons with my hands). You actually set the key for your song, and it has ALL kinds of built in effects - 50 to be exact! This includes basic harmony, doubling, echo, reverb, 3/4 harmony, 3/5 harmony, and many "exotic" effects, like phasing, slicing, etc.). You can copy the original, built-in effects, to a User setting are (there are up to 50 of those as well), where you can name the desired user setting, edit the various effects for the setting, and save the modified setting for later use! Very convenient for pre-sets you can use at a gig! Also, there are plenty of YouTube videos to help you get started with the unit. I'd recommend checking some of the videos out, if you are considering purchasing the BOSS VE-22. It has some amazing, ADVANCED features, and Roland (manufacturer) has made it relatively simple to use the features - certainly simpler than other vocal processors! Anyway, best of luck!

Useful, fun vocal processor with bright buttons
If you've ever dreamed of becoming a singer, or wanted to enhance your spoken word performances -- hello podcasters and voice-over artists -- sometimes you just need that little extra umph to take you to the next level. If this is you, then you may be interested in this vocal pedal by TC-Helicon called the Perform V. In my video I walk through the main features of this vocal processor and even demo beaming new presets to the device. I really like this unit. It is easy to use, even while in the middle of a performance. There are three effect presets you can configure and there is a TALK mode that bypasses all effects. The unit really gets fun when you consider the mobile app, which allows you to choose from hundreds of vocal profiles so you can sound just like your favorite singers. Two things that could have been better: 1. The clips to attach the unit to a mic stand are not configurable, so you won't be able to attach the unit if you have a thicker-than-standard mic stand, and 2. The buttons are really bright and there is no dimmer switch. If the device fits your mic stand and you don't mind the bright lights, this vocal processor is great, especially for the singer/songwriter. A professional singer might want something with more effects and features, but for me this unit is wonderful -- I can rehearse and perform knowing I can easily tweak my vocal sound until I get exactly what I want. It's also fun to use! Thanks -- I hope you found the review and video helpful.
