Cheap, lightweight compass
The compass technicality works, but because there’s no viscous damping of the needle it’s hard to keep still enough to get a good reading. If all you need is the general direction and being light weight is important to you, this might be a good fit for you. I think I’m going to spend a little more money and get a better one

Magnet not strong
This was made cheap.

Super cheap build quality
No dampening so the needle constantly moves. Thin plastic and flex. I am not kidding when I say this is a happy meal quality toy. Want expecting much but the $1 dollar store should carry these..... Maybe they do.

Cheap compass
I just got out my compass to use and see the dial has severally warped and is misshapen.
