Solid and practical!
Awesome, straightforward, and practical. Super easy to use, sounds good, and no firmware updates needed if you’re using it with Apple iOS devices. IK Multimedia makes an adapter that will power it, which I will purchase at some point. It’s worth noting that a One Spot adapter will work well, too. Highly recommended!

High Quality Social Media Music Videos!
I got this so that I can record my guitar and stereo while filming on my iPhone. This is perfect for creating social media reels and videos without having to do much editing. Before I got this, I would have to record my guitar directly into my computer and record the video separately on my iPhone and then match them up. That tedious process is no longer needed. I plug my guitar pedal board and amp sims directly into this I rig pro duo, and it record on my phone camera. As soon as it's done, it's ready to post and sounds awesome!

Easy to use and quiet. No noise or hiss at all.
Works very well. There is no hiss. I use it with the video recorder on the iPhone 16 Pro. I simply plugged it in and it worked.

The only way to get audio and conventional 5pin midi in and out of ipad
Using ipad pro12.5 3gen. Nice pad BUT. Thanks to stupid apple people . No more phone jack and only one usbCport. Thats bloody it! So you need this pricy but good. At first it didnt work at all. caused ipad to freeze in garageband. The secret is this... Turn ipad off then Plug this into ipad. Then boot ipad. That got it working. Also the ipad keys still work along with midi input. Have not put any audio input yet. For me its mostly to play the synths and sounds of the ipad on a real keyboard into amp and speakers, because ipad had really good sound generators. Also output midi note data to other synths using great ios apps like "progressions"that generate chord various chord structures. So this box although pricy gets the ipad working in the serious studio setting. Or also the home music setup. PS. You will also need a good usb cameraport dongle to use this box AND keep the ipad charged. Yet another Stupid but likely intentional oversight of apple. Shouldn't need all this dongle mess with modern devices. I like what ipads do... but i have good reason to hate the apple company

Does what I need it to do
Everyone has an evil plan when purchasing a gadget to augment something they use. In this case, I bought the DUO to compliment the sound with the 4K video on my Galaxy Note 9. Who doesn't want to strut around with a high quality movie rig in their pants, right? I have a decent collection of studio mics, so I can use two shotgun mics at the same time if need be. In quieter settings, I can combine the shotgun with a Blue condenser, capturing the audio synced perfectly with the video, no realignment in post. It will sound as good as your microphones, like anything in the recording game. Suffice it to say, I'm happy with this thing. It purred like a kitten straight out of the box, and even with a dynamic like a Shure SM57, I was surprised at the super low noise and crisp, un-EQed quality. I expected some amount of hiss but, nope. I can see a wealth of uses for the DUO, from recording acoustic busker jams on street corners, to intimate online music concerts, to some pretty decent quality film projects. The tech in our hand is getting smaller and smaller each year. I also have an IK Multimedia iRig Stream, which I use to get board mixes for larger ensembles into Facebook Live -- so much better than pointing my little phone mic at the source and hoping for the best.

Horrible modern tech company. Tech needs to be stopped.
This company is the worst of the worst. I will return this immediately if I am no helped. Here are the problems: #1 They give you your registration # on a small card in a box. What is this 1910? I'm not sure if this is because they don't want people reselling their product but IN AMERICA WE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO RESELL AND FIX THINGS WE OWN! TECH AND CAR COMPANIES NEED TO BE STOPPED. THIS IS NOT FAIR TO THE MIDDLE CLASS. But there's more! I DID REGISTER THIS BECAUSE IM RESPONSIBLE! WAHOO!! When I tried to do everything the little card said there were lots of bugs with the registration UI. I kept trying and trying and I felt like I was on some third party website. At the end of the day I entered all my info but I wasn't sure if it went through or not. It seemed like a scam. Was this because I bought it through Amazon.com? I'm not sure. I had a lot of registration issues but I DID ALL THAT WAS ASKED. I assumed that I would be in the system or my registration would be sent to me digitally after filling out all the forms. #2 If you lose your registration # you have to go through their website BUT YOU CAN'T CREATE A HELP TICKET OR GET HELPED WITHOUT THE REGISTRATION NUMBER! WOW! Wonderful way to be hands off and take no responsibility. Listen. I get Amazon boxes everyday. THE FIRST THING I DO IS THROW THEM AWAY. I DON'T HAVE ROOM IN MY HOUSE FOR CRAP. In addition high quality products have always had serial numbers on them. This idea that they give it to them separately in my opinion is to free them from responsibility. I mean look at their annoying apps it's all "in the box" you can't do anything without downloading their huge software package which is just an excuse for them to give you advertisements. TO ME THIS IS PUSHY PUSHY CAR SALES TYLE TACTICS. I PAY YOU. WE'RE DONE. END OF OUR RELATIONSHIP. I DON'T WANT ADDS AND EMAILS FROM YOU FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE BECAUSE I BOUGHT ONE SMALL THING FROM YOU. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO DEAL WITH THIS FROM EVERY COMPANY I PURCHASE FROM IN MY YEARS OF EXISTANCE. IT ADDS UP. IT ALL JUST BECOMES SPAM, SALES NOTIFICATIONS. #3 Everyone is home for COVID. Why can't they just answer their phones? They want it to be email but phones are faster. How is Email going in a modern direction? So even after you get through to them (since you can't get through without the tiny little card they gave you) they tell you to hang up and email them. #4 The software is all in the box like I mentioned. It's horrible. It's just one big piece of unnecessary software that tries to sell you stuff. The recording industry has always had a knack for keeping things very high end and respectable now for years, to me this is going the wrong direction. What if every company did this? It seems so heavy and like I have to cram my computer with tons of unnecessary crap in the day and age of lightweight and simple touchscreens.

No software for Android
The first unit I purchased came defective and I had to give it back, they reimbursed me without a fight, I'm grateful for that. This interface is amazing. I'm on the process of getting a replacement. But what I can say is that all the amplitude software (10 apps aprox) is for iphone/ipad, nothing for android!! and that's a bit disappointing, IK multimedia should consider at least 1 app, that's why the 3 stars. On black Friday price dropped to 170

Does everything I expected it to. Really compact and neat unit which allows me to simultaneously have 2 x XLR or 1/4in inputs (eg. mic plus guitar) plus MIDI keyboard (via MIDI in+out) plugged into the iPhone, iPad, computer or android device. Has direct monitoring with 3.5mm headphone Jack, plus 2 x mono 1/4in outputs, and 48v phantom power for condenser mics. The important extra purchase for me was the DC power unit, which means I don’t chew through a pair of AA batteries every hour of recording. Good to have the battery option but it would’ve been awesome to see the DC power supply provided with the interface itself. Absolutely love this product and would definitely recommend it to amateur musicians like myself or those who need an interface for audio and MIDI that is super compact and portable.

I love this unit and am very happy with it it does everything it should do!! Only one thing that disappoints me - This unit was sold to me as new, paid the price of a new unit, but it was very obvious to me that this was an open box unit! That it had either been returned or was an open box unit in a store and boxed up and shipped to the warehouse as new. This is not the first time I have experienced this with products I have bought that are sold and shipped from Amazon! Someone needs to have better quality control!! Had someone looked closely at the box they could have figured out easily that it was not a brand new unit and had they opened it it would become more evident that it was not brand new.
