Get it. Collier knows his stuff.
Listen, if you get feverishly excited about running a post hoc power test in your latest structural equation model, spend time getting into Twitter flame wars on AMOS versus LISREL, or have deep conversations about correlated error terms, you are a special kind of person. I'm not making any judgments against you, I'm just saying that, for about 99% of us, the inner workings of SEM do not make for an endlessly captivating or easy-to-follow subject. Luckily for that 99%, Collier takes these subjects, concepts, and techniques and breaks them down in a way that is not only understandable but also actionable. And make no mistake, actionable is the key here. This book is not necessarily written to a deep dive into the theoretical underpinnings of SEM, but to present step-by-step how to do SEM in AMOS in a conversational way that most of us can understand. If you know nothing about SEM, you will pick up some excellent knowledge, but this conversational tone and the direct way the subject is presented are where the book's value comes from. This book is written with researchers that wish to use SEM in their research in mind, and luckily for us 99%, it does an excellent job. If you use SEM or are thinking of using SEM, this book needs to be in your library.

A Clear Break Down for a Very Complicated Subject
Hey, if you are teaching about Structural Equation Modeling, you have got to check out this textbook. I was lucky enough to have the author, Dr. Joel Collier, as an instructor and dissertation co-chair, and I still use his self-created, in-house class text as a reference. Just looking through the e-textbook I have already purchased and I can tell you it is even better! The text is richer with added examples, visuals, and the same clear language that is Dr. Collier's hallmark.

Easy Guide to SEM
Dr. Collier's book is a complete lifesaver when it comes to SEM. I was a bit intimidated by the program at first, not being the biggest modeler, but it is a great place to get started with the basics of using AMOs for research. This book is written in a way that's easy to understand and practical, including screenshots and guides for what to report (my personal favorite!). It includes everything from the most basic "this button does this" to how to profrom mixture modeling and deal with non-recursive models. I keep this book on hand for everything from reminders on how to conduct CFAs and calculate AVEs with AMOs to how to respond to complex reviewer comments on methods.

Best Book about SEM Operation
In my opinion, this is the best book of all times to teach you how to use Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) on AMOS to conduct measurement analysis and structural analysis for your study model, with detailed illustration for each step as well as the respective theoretical mechanism underlying it. If you are a business-related doctoral student or early scholar, this is a must-have in your toolbox, and you will benefit a lot from it when you decide to use SEM frequently in your future research.

Great step by step SEM book
This is the book that will make you learn how to not only use SEM in research but also explain how it works. The books goes through the whole process in a clear and precise manner. This makes the complexity of SEM a lot easier. I am glad that I got that book and recommend it to the ones that are trying to learn how to use SEM in their research.

Great text!
This text is incredible! It is easy to follow along and offers a firm foundation of structural equation modeling using AMOS. It explains the software well and provides pictures that are reader friendly, which is perfect for visual learners! The explanations are extremely thorough and don't leave any room for ambiguity. I highly recommend this book!
