Space A Visual Encyclopedia (DK Children's Visual Encyclopedias) Review: Beautiful photos and excellent content - My kids is three and loves going through the pages as we read to him. The quality of each pages are beautiful. The font size is large enough and the languages are simple enough (not difficult to read) for younger audience. The content are excellent because shares many facts and details about each planet that it will take some time for kids to learn our solar system. I purchase one with softcover so my little one can carry it with him all the time. Excellent book for kids who likes to learn more about each planet in the solar system and enjoy look at photos instead of illustrations. Review: GREAT BOOK BUT BAD PACKAGING! - This book is great to start teaching my kids about space. The images inside or gorgeous and ignites interest in the reader/viewer(s) of the book. It did come with a dented hardcover because it was placed in a large box without any kind of protection, but I domt want to take away starts from the book because that's a packaging issue that either the seller or desertcart needs to address. I did see in other reviews that everyone's experienced the same. So please seller/desertcart do better on fitting this book in an appropriate package.

Great book, easy to understand and fun for the kids!
My son got the book from the public library and love it so much that wanted me to buy it for him. At first didn't see the value to it until I look at it and read it with my boys. Indeed, an UpToDate book with great information and lots of pictures, both my kids 15 and 10 yrs. of age enjoy the book, will say I enjoy it too.

Really engaging graphics and pictures [not for flat earthers!]
and organized very well with lots of very good facts and details. Scale and everything is presented very well as well as our location in the known universe, how we observe, space travel and good section on the earth, moon, sun and our solar system/planets. It is a bit unfortunate that they depict the earth as "a round sphere" for those ascribing to flat earth theory.

Definite buy for a preteen that likes space
Great book. Very solid. And I know this sounds weird but it even smells like a book that was made properly. So many facts. My son loves it.

Even talks about the new James Webb telescope!
Great photos and written portions balance. Modern and up-to-date. Great gift to give a space lover!

UPDATED AND JUST AS AWESOME
I've had this book (the older, 1999 version) since I was a child at the turn of the century. It was a wonderful resource for children (and even adults) about space and space exploration/astronomy, and remains so with this most recent version (updated 2020, so brand new). It's a wonderful, visual encyclopedia about everything space-related: from astronomy and the stars, to history and exploration and the future of space exploration is discussed. Beautiful and detailed pictures are interwoven with informative and updated facts and images. Helpful in-depth diagrams, interviews, biographies, informational blurbs, and more complete this fascinating and comprehensive book. Definitely a MUST for any child's library, especially those with an interest or fascination in science, astronomy, space, exploration, and STEM careers. Check it out; you won't be disappointed!
