GREAT PURCHASE...VERY NICE KNIFE!
Very nice knife! Well made, and the look of old world craftsmanship! This looks and feels like a $100.00 knife.....I have had some. Sheath is nice too. I glued small pieces of leather on the inside of the snap, and the rivet to protect the knife from scratching. Worked perfect! The workmanship around the finger grips and the whole tang is excellent. The brass pins and finger guard really enhance the whole product. It has a great feel with the right amount of heft and balance. Sharp enough to slice through paper right out of the box. The leather handle strap was tight....which is normal....so I put a little oil on it and stretched it over the handle and fastened it. I let it set for a day. Works great! Don't be afraid to purchase this knife....you will be pleasantly surprised!! And I received it two days earlier than estimated....

Right knife for its purpose!
Havent out it through its paces yet, but I'm quite pleased with it. I wanted a fixed blade I wouldn't feel bad beating on at work to save the edge of my edc folder. Being the Chinese equivalent of 440 (I believe) and the reasonable price, this knife is perfect for my needs. The sheath is just right too. Edit*: It's been almost two months since I've had it. Still holding up perfectly to my needs. Stays recently sharp, but I'm obsessive and enjoy sharpening it. Sanded down the handle to make it a little more ergonomic. Only complaint-I wish it had a small choil for ease of sharpening. For a personal preference, it'd be cool if it was a cross guard. Still, I knew that when I bought it. Great knife! Good sheath.

Old School Traditional Quality
This is just a really great hunting knife. Admittedly, they are many more modern hunting knives available made with exotic steels, G10 grips and Kydex sheaths that cost much more and may even out perform this one, but if you are in any way an "old school" traditionalist that admires all things crafted by hand the way they used to be, then this is the knife for you. It offers a high quality, full-tang stainless steel blade shaped in an upswept skinner pattern, a brass finger guard, a well crafted leather oxblood-colored sheath and is finished with a pair of heavy-duty staglon handle scales that feel good in hand and look great. But there's just something else about this knife that calls out... and whether it brings back great memories of days in the field with friends and family long ago or anticipation of those to come, I believe that you will enjoy owning and using this Elk Hunter Skinner knife from Uncle Henry.

Solid robust hunting knife great value for the price
I was looking for a knife that might replace my Gill Hibben 2018 small hunting knife I have that I don't want to scratch up. So when I saw this knife in a youtube review I jumped on it. I look for knives that have well contoured handles that are comfortable for my large hands and robust capable blades to accomplish a wide range of cutting tasks. Pros: Full tang knife with robust blade design.and it came sharp out of box. Very comfortable handles with finger grooves which locks my hand in place nicely. I like the wide beefy up-swept blade it feels strong, solid and capable. The handles feel solid and secure very tight. The sheath is attractive and adequate. This is a handsome old school knife with a beautifully finished blade. For the price point I can't find anything to complain about. I've looked at other UH fixed blade knives and I think this is the best of the bunch.

Very nice hunting knife
For skinning and cleaning big game animals. Very nice knife with very hard, hight quality steel. Be prepared to rebevel the edge. Once that is done these turn into scalpels and the edge retention is boss.

I bought this knife awhile ago and I absolutely love it! I abuse my knives pretty bad but this knife is holding up fine! It'll take a razor edge and certainly hold that edge for a while! It's worth every penny.

well made knife.
I started deer hunting over 50 years ago and the knife Dad gave me was a Western. In those Days Hunters valued their knives almost as they did their rifles. Almost exclusively Knives then were Western, Ka Bar, Remington or Shrade. I decided many years ago to collect fixed blade hunting knives from these Companies and this Schrade Uncle Henry doesn't disappoint. Well Made, Sturdy, and very sharp with a good sheath with snap closure. I'm very pleased..

Epic knife. Feels great in the hand, very sterdy heavy blade. The only thing that sucks is the sheath.. Its very tight and not very long.. And the button straps get cut when taking it out. Great every day carry knife for the price

this chinese stainless steel is amazing the way it takes a sharpening, it is easy to sharpen and keeps sharp, you can make it razor sharp, i love it for the price you can't go wrong, full tang ,1/8 of an inch thick and it is a shrade, i recomend it.

A quality constructed knife with only one big flaw. The brass rivets holding on the imitation stag handle are fake. They are merely brass caps glued on to hide the screws underneath. With usage, these caps come unglued and get lost exposing the screws and ruining the knifes appearance. Shame on you Schrade. It appears this is the case for almost all of the Uncle Henry Schrade knives as I own two others with the same looking brass fake rivets. At least Elk Ridge knives have real brass rivets on their knives as I also own 6 of their knives and they are all high quality. This skinning knife comes with an excellent leather case. It came reasonably sharp but needed extra honing to get it razor sharp
