Led Light Unit (Tlu-01)

Great light set from Tamiya w/ multiple plugs-ins for light strings. I’ve used these many times with great results!

Works perfectly and is fairly simple to install if you have some experience with wrenching on a 2 stroke engine.

Even at the discount price, this option is expensive. All (almost all) is forgiven when the lights are positioned, turned-on and the LEDs illuminated: the result is great. I was puzzled about how to thread the wire and LEDs into position for the front headlamps mounted on the window frame of the Comical Hopper since no instructions were provided. As a novice builder, I guessed that the pre-existing "dimple" in the front window served as a punch hole for drilling ~1/4" hole required to thread the front LEDs and their wires could be positioned into the light housings mounted on the windshield frame (smaller hole needed if you cut the wires to the LEDs and solder them back together). The results are great, but the wire coming out of the window and into the light housing is slightly conspicuous. The result is not as clean as models with simple front headlights. Advise: check your model before buying so as to understand how the LEDs and wires exit the body of the model and enter the headlamps.

I'm very pleased with the product and the seller. The package arrived earlier than expected and even included a personal note from the seller. It's nice to see that much attention to service. The light unit works great. It comes with two red and two white led lights...Very bright led lights! This light unit is perfect for my buggy mod.

The quality of the tamiya hop up parts are on par with the rest of their items.. simply flawless.. everything fits well.. The led light unit adds a nice touch to my FJ CC01 .. the lights are pretty bright as well.. my son simply loves driving it in the dark..

Very easy to set-up Tamiya light set. Has a Tamiya male to female adaptor with power leads for light unit. This means your electronic speed control does not have to supply power to light set. Also includes double sided tape and metal clips to secure wires for LEDs. Comes with two red and two white LEDs but can power 6 mores sets of LEDs if needed.

I built a Tamiya RC body set and used this L.E.D. light kit. The light kit works great!

One of the lights was completely crushed and looks like it got run over. Not sure if it work even….
